Mel and Jack are back! All of our waiting and patience (or, more accurately, impatience) has paid off and will finally be rewarded. Virgin River season 7 arrives on Netflix after over one year since the sixth season ended with some of the show’s most shocking cliffhangers yet. But we made it through the drought, and Netflix’s coziest and craziest romantic drama series returns.
When we last left Mel and Jack in Virgin River season 6, the happy couple was celebrating their wedding day. Getting down the aisle and to the altar had been a hard-fought process for the couple after many unexpected twists and turns. Between wildfires and tragedies and family reunions, Mel and Jack have weathered every storm, and now it’s time for their wedded bliss.

Virgin River season 7 premieres on Thursday, March 12, 2026 on Netflix. All 10 episodes of the season will be released at the same time. We don’t have to worry about the season being split in half or in parts. Rest assured that your full binge-watch won’t be interrupted by Netflix’s scheduling plans and can be watched all at once — or however you opt to consume the latest episodes!
The episodes begin streaming on Netflix at 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT on Thursday, March 12. That’s rather late to stay up (or a little early to wake up) to watch as soon as the season drops, but there will certainly be some fans who risk the sleep deprivation to get the answers to some burning questions from the season premiere ASAP. Otherwise, plan a binge-watch for the weekend.

What to expect from Virgin River season 7
As mentioned above, Mel and Jack are now married and beginning the rest of their life together. Not only are they fixing up their new house on Lilly’s old farm, but they are also warming up to the possibility of adopting Marley’s baby. Mel’s patient approached her in the season 6 finale after the prospective parents fell through and ask Mel to adopt her baby. Will it work out?
That’s only one of the big questions yet to be answered in Virgin River season 7. We’re also going to learn what happened to Charmaine. Did she die? Did someone else die? Were the babies kidnapped? Expect to learn the answer, but knowing these writers, it might not be as simple as we’re thinking. Likewise, Doc’s ready to take on has battle with the medical board to regain his license and save the clinic.
The new season will also find Lizzie welcoming her and Denny’s daughter and dealing with the unexpected postpartum side effects. She’s going to need a solid support system by her side, and we know that she has one! Oh, and as for the romance, Brie will likely be pondering Mike’s marriage proposal while reconciling her lingering feelings for Brady. Will this be the season with a choice?
