What time is Elite season 7 coming to Netflix?

The day is almost here, Elite fans! The highly anticipated seventh season is scheduled to land on Netflix on Oct. 20, meaning we’re only a day away from its release. If you’re just as hyped about the new season as us, you must read on to find out everything there is to know about it.

Elite has seen much success over its run on Netflix. Premiering its first season in October 2018, the Spanish teen series has been constantly renewed for new seasons. We’re now on Elite season 7 with an eighth season currently in the works.

We’ve also seen Elite have a major cast shake-up over the seasons with characters either dying or departing Las Encinas. In Elite season 7, a fan-favorite character makes his return and several new characters are introduced.

The fan-favorite character who comes back is Omar Shanaa, played by Omar Ayuso. The last time we saw Omar was in the season 5 finale when he and Rebe decided to leave Las Encinas after Samuel’s death. Now, he’s back, but he’s struggling with the guilt he feels for Samuel’s death. He also has a new love interest. It’ll be interesting to see where his story goes in the seventh season.

Most of the season 6 cast returns for this season except Carla Díaz (Ari), Martina Caridd (Mencía), Manu Ríos (Patrick), and Diego Martín (Benjamín). Remember, they left Las Encinas at the end of the sixth season.

What is the seventh season about?

Netflix provided us with the official synopsis for Elite season 7.

In this new season, Omar is living a new life at the university and far away from Las Encinas, but he is unable to move on. The guilt he feels for Samuel’s death and the suffering from that period are still very much present, leading him to undergo therapy. Thanks to an internship, he decides to return to the school where everything happened to confront his demons face to face. Through Omar’s journey we will discover that the rest of the students are also silently battling their own hells. Elite’s season 7 will tackle mental health and how most of us neglect it out of fear or ignorance.
