What time is The Mother starring Jennifer Lopez coming to Netflix?

Calling all J.Lo fans! Jennifer Lopez has a new action film called The Mother coming to Netflix on May 12, and you definitely don’t want to miss this one.

The Mother is an upcoming Netflix original movie directed by Niki Caro. Caro is best known for directing the 2020 live-action fantasy film Mulan. In addition, the movie’s screenplay was co-written by Misha Green, Andrea Berloff, and Peter Craig from a story by Green. Green is known for developing the short-lived HBO series Lovecraft Country, and you might recognize Berloff as the co-writer for the biographical drama film Straight Outta Compton. Lastly, Craig co-wrote the screenplay for the superhero film The Batman.

The film follows a deadly assassin who, after years on the run, is forced to come out of hiding to protect the daughter she left behind many years ago from ruthless criminals from her past. Jennifer Lopez stars in the leading role as The Mother, a military-trained assassin on a mission to save her daughter from dangerous men seeking revenge. Lucy Paez plays The Mother’s daughter, Zoe. The rest of the cast is made up of Joseph Fiennes, Omari Hardwick, Gael García Bernal, Paul Raci, Jesse Garcia, and Yvonne Senat Jones.
