According to Deadline, the closest the cast ever got to an official spinoff or reboot was a spinoff that involved Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Mitchell Pritchett) and Eric Stonestreet (Cameron Tucker) and their life in Missouri. The series ended with the Pritchett-Tuckers leaving California for Missouri, so it felt like a natural place to pick up.
Sadly, the network passed on the spinoff, and Modern Family fans are back to square one. Luckily, the cast is not opposed to getting back together, but the project would have to be the right fit for all.
