Another WWE superstar has aspirations to put on some dancing shoes and hit the ballroom. WWE Divas Champion Charlotte Flair recently shared her dreams of competing on Dancing With the Stars.
Speaking with The Bella Twins on The Nikki & Brie Show, the wrestling royalty shared she had a craving for the experience of sequins, glitter, and spray tans. Nikki Bella, who appeared on the 25th season of the series, expressed her support as the daughter of the infamous Ric Flair, manifesting her dream. Hoping to join the illustrious list of former wrestling greats who have competed, Flair is optimistic about making her dream outside of the ring a reality.
Charlotte Flair Has Multiple Reality TV Dreams Beyond ‘DWTS’
During her appearance alongside Nikki and Brie Bella, the celebrated WWE champion shared a powerful and unfiltered conversation that dove deep into eras, evolution, and embracing your most authentic self. From living in the spotlight to reclaiming feminine energy, blocking online noise, and revealing her stripper pole playlist, Flair held nothing back. But Flair lit up when she revealed her fantasy appearance on Dancing With the Stars. Should she get the call to appear on the show, she would be the third female wrestler to appear on DWTS behind Nikki Bella and Stacey Keibler from the show’s second season. Additionally, Chris Jericho competed on Season 12 while The Miz was on Season 30.
Flair had another dream reality show gig that also features a glamorous wardrobe: RuPaul’s Drag Race. Though she referred to the Emmy Award-winning series in a peculiar manner, she said, “I really want to be on the RuPaul drag queen show ’cause I feel like my outfits are already there.” She continued on to say, “Their outfits, the glamour, the makeup, all of it. The Charlotte Flair character.”
Between WWE Raw championships, WWE Divas champion, and victories during the Royal Rumble, among others, Flair is already highly decorated, which makes sense that she’d want to add another championship to her resume. Her competitive spirit is already there, but hearing her desire and ease into both worlds is proof she’s eager to push her strengths to the next level.

How WWE Is Perfect Training for ‘DWTS’ and ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’
Both reality shows fit into the world of professional wrestling as it requires a little bit of performance and a lot of “fabulosity.” Flair is right. Her character and persona would be right for either show, though she knows that she would be better suited as a judge alongside RuPaul rather than an actual contestant. Through her conversation with the twins, she acknowledged that she’s got larger dreams beyond WWE.
“I’m still in acting class, just waiting for the right role or if something happens. I think for me, I love wrestling. I could wrestle forever. I know it’s not a forever job in the ring. Obviously, there’s many roles outside of the ring, so right now, besides being the best that I can in the ring, it’s really trying to navigate and see what do I like outside of the ring because that’s been my heart and soul for 10 years,” she told Nikki and Brie. “But when I think of Dancing With the Stars or being a judge on one of those RuPaul shows, I’m like, ‘Oh, that excites me.’ That gives me those, not necessarily butterflies, but when you’re on stage, that competitive, nervous feel.“
Athletes have a fairly high success rate at Dancing with the Stars. From Emmitt Smith to Iman Shumpert, with Shawn Johnston in between, athletes have excelled in the ballroom. There was even a special season dedicated solely to a cast of pro athletes. Having a career of intense training and a competitive edge, Dancing with the Stars has become a mecca for many athletes eager to push themselves to the next level. Charlotte Flair would be in good company should she get the call to compete on the hit ABC series.
Dancing with the Stars is available to stream on Hulu.
