Normally, I try to avoid the verbal diarrhea that celebrities emit in public settings. I will do an occasional post on egregious discussions on The View, both because they actually are culturally relevant (you get insight into AWFL thinking), but the rantings and ravings of celebrities at award shows rarely require comment.
That is less true, though, of Billie Eilish’s anti-ICE…comments…than of your standard celebrity political speech. That’s true for a few reasons, but most especially because Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was in the audience and appeared quite pleased with Eilish’s emoting, and because a Native American tribe that originally inhabited the land on which she has a luxurious mansion is located is interested in retrieving the “stolen land” on which she now resides.
Billie Eilish calls America “stolen land”
Ok, Billie. Your $14,000,000 mansion in LA is built where the Tongva tribes once lived. Any plans on returning it?

Is this a troll? It’s hard to say for sure, but it does put Eilish in something of a bind, or at least WOULD do so if she were in the least inclined to put her money where her mouth is, or her fans at all interested in holding her accountable.

Neither is true, of course. Eilish was virtue signaling, and her fans care more about Eilish than any immigrant or Native American, who serve as props for their political stunts, and only that.
Pop star Billie Eilish goes viral for saying America is “stolen land” and “f**k ICE” at the Grammys.
Interestingly, she has yet to announce any plans to return her $14 million property to the tribe that once owned it. Imagine that!

It’s the same phenomenon we saw during the Israel-Hamas war, where ‘Palestinians” served as props for the left’s attacks on Israel. None of these people cared a whit about the people who were dying, as you can see by their total indifference to the genocide of Christians in Western Africa, the slave markets in Libya, or, most recently, the tens of thousands of people massacred in Iran.
Exciting news: I’ve decided to move into Billie Eilish’s $6 million Malibu beachfront mansion because no human being is illegal on stolen land.
Thank you Billie for your generosity. pic.twitter.com/1egsPPKs5i

Celebrities love to play into the current “thing,” whether it is alphabet activism, anti-Israel hysteria, climate change, or now illegal immigrants. Throw in a bit of colonialism, racism, transphobia, or some other buzzword that is a popular issue of the day, and they will get in front of the parade.
Wow @ArielleScarcell exposes women (who think they are smart!) saying the Iranian regime (that kills women for not covering their hair) gives women more rights than the Trump admin. https://t.co/vQAv5KqKNB

What makes the Billie Eilish emoting interesting is that an actual Native American tribe is calling her on it. Put up or shut up. That mansion sure looks nice, and she admits it is stolen. And since nobody is illegal on it, I expect that everybody is welcome to live there.
I took a closer look at Billie Eilish’s sprawling mansion. She doesn’t just have 1 wall… SHE HAS 3!!! So tall that you can’t even see over them 👀
Heavily fortified and surrounded by security. Meanwhile, she expects you to let criminals into your community, you bigots! pic.twitter.com/9i1xokta17

Some conservatives are joking about moving in with her, but I actually think it would be funnier still to have a bunch of people put up tents around her house and demand to be let in. What do you want to bet that the police will be called and the people ejected?
I’d say 100%.
Update: I actually bought my flights to the US for next week
I am actually going to try set up a tent on the footpath outside Billie Eilish’s mansion

Next I would suggest that Gracie Mansion become another sanctuary for brave conservatives. Zohran is a big believer in tearing down walls and public ownership of property. He, too, believes in the “stolen land” idiocy. He’s also a fan of occupying things.
JUST IN: The Tongva tribe — whose ancestral land Billie Eilish’s multi-million-dollar Los Angeles mansion sits on — confirmed she has not contacted them about returning the “stolen land.”
A spokesperson for the Tongva tribe told The Daily Mail: “‘As the First People of the… pic.twitter.com/hymwRyCnpU

Can we occupy Gracie Mansion? It would be fun to see a video of the New York City Police violently ejecting people from city property, and have Mamdani explain that it’s (D)ifferent this time. No doubt we will get explanations about insurrections and all the rest.
One of the “rules for radicals” is “”Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. There is no defense…”
With all that said, I wouldn’t suggest it in the real world. The entire Pravda establishment would spend years pounding on violent white supremacist insurrectionists trying to destroy democracy.
But we can dream, at least.
