Nicola Peltz told Brooklyn Beckham “it’s me or her” in a devastating ultimatum following his mom Victoria Beckham’s “inappropriate” wedding dance.
According to the Sun, a butler who witnessed the interaction said Peltz, 31, was most upset by singer Marc Anthony calling Victoria the “most beautiful woman in the room” as he called her to the stage for Brooklyn’s first dance — and saw it as the “final straw.”
“Nicola was upset by the words from Marc Anthony that preceded the dance,” the butler reportedly said of the 2022 nuptials, adding that “Victoria has been unfairly cast as a villain of the piece.”
He continued, “The truth is Nicola behaved like a brat. She completely overreacted to the notion she’d been upstaged at her own wedding.”
Following the scene, which Brooklyn later wrote in a scathing social media rant including the former Spice Girl dancing “very inappropriately on [him] in front of everyone,” Nicola was said to have issued an ultimatum.
“After the wedding Nicola was resolute to Brooklyn — you need to choose me or your mother,” he said.
“She wasn’t interested in backing down. Unfortunately Brooklyn wasn’t able to stand up for his mum and explain to Nicola that she’d massively overreacted.”
The butler then claimed that “Nicola is the problem and the reason Brooklyn and his parents don’t talk.”
“After the dance row, she told Brooklyn in regard to David and Victoria: ‘I don’t want to be around them, and you have a decision to make: Me or her,’” he further claimed, adding that Brooklyn was allegedly “helpless in that scenario to do anything other than choose his wife.”
He also alleged that since the incident, the model has “put her foot down” on attending “any invitation from David and Victoria” to meet up with the duo.
While the aspiring chef, 26, has reportedly “tried to talk sense to his wife,” the butler alleged that “she’s the reason the wedge is there. Brooklyn has wanted to go to these family events but she says ‘No,’” after which Brooklyn is said to have “backed down.”
“Nicola has never given Victoria the option to talk it all through, mother-in-law to daughter-in-law,” the butler said. “She doesn’t care about the damage caused by not fixing the issue.”
Reps for Victoria, Brooklyn and Peltz did not immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment.
The eldest child of David, 50, and Victoria, 51, made headlines on Monday by releasing a six-page screed accusing his parents of a list of alleged offenses — including controlling “narratives in the press about our family” and cancelling “making Nicola’s [wedding] dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.”
He also claimed, “In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.”
The photographer added, “I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
Since then, a number of witnesses have weighed in on the alleged moment, which is said to be captured in footage owned by Brooklyn and his wife — and they don’t have plans to release it.
The video “contains footage of Victoria dancing inappropriately with Brooklyn at his wedding,” a source told Page Six earlier this week.
DJ Fat Tony — who performed at the lavish Florida wedding — said “the most awkward part” of the wedding actually came the following day.
“Everything that had gone on on the actual wedding night was discussed amongst all the guests the next morning,” he said during an appearance on Friday’s episode of UK’s “The Morning.”
