Now Oasis has gone woke, with the band's tell-all documentary is slapped with trigger warnings over 'smoking and drinking' (Liam and Noel Gallagher pictured in 1999)

They were famed for their hell-raising and hedonistic antics in the Nineties as they embraced a rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle.

So Oasis fans will no doubt be shocked to see the band’s new tell-all documentary has been slapped with woke trigger warnings over the likes of smoking and drinking.

The band’s reunion this year – 16 years after their legendary break up – is being marked by 70-minute documentary Oasis Definitely, that features previously unseen behind-the-scenes footage of the group.

Yet ahead of the doc, which is rated 15, viewers are warned that ‘people are seen smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol throughout’.

The film, produced by former Creation Records boss Tim Abbot, also warns of rude gestures and that ‘references are made to cocaine and getting high’.

The British Board of Film Classification added that it contains ‘very strong language’ – including ‘c***’, t**t’, ‘d**k’, ‘b*****d’ and ‘p**s’.

MailOnline has contacted the filmmakers for comment.

As well as a documentary, there is said to be a film in the works to document  brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher’s comeback reunion tour.

Steven Knight is set to oversee and produce the movie, while it will be directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace.

While he is best known for creating the hit Cillian Murphy crime drama, Steven also is the man behind Taboo, All the Light We Cannot See and A Thousand Blows, and  scored an Oscar nomination for writing 2002’s Dirty Pretty Things.

Oasis gave no further details about what fans can expect from the film, but it is thought it will include personal footage of the Gallagher brothers as well as the concerts, in the style of Dylan and Will’s previous projects.

The band sent fans into meltdown on Friday as they kicked off their hotly-anticipated reunion tour at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

More than 75,000 fans watched history be made as Noel, 58, and Liam, 52, appeared for the first time on stage together in 16 years, as they put on a reunited front on Friday.

And the following night saw the once warring siblings prove once and for all that they’ve put their differences aside in a touching moment, which saw them waltz onto stage hand-in-hand to the cheers of their adoring fans.

During Saturday’s gig, Noel gave a special shout out to Oasis co-founder Paul Arthurs – better known as Bonehead – and credited him for mending things between him and Liam.

Getting emotional at times during the night, when the band returned for their encore Noel directed the audience to cheer for Bonehead, saying: ‘On guitar, if it wasn’t for him, none of this would have happened!’

Bonehead was part of the original Oasis line-up, alongside the Gallaghers, Paul McGuigan (aka Guigsy) and Tony McCarroll.

Last year, music industry insiders claimed that the guitarist was ‘one of the drivers of the reunion’.

In November, he was reported to ‘ecstatic’ that the band was back together – with Liam and Noel reportedly ‘both wanting him in the fold’ after he brought them back together.

One insider told The Sun: ‘The Oasis family has really come back together. Bonehead is ecstatic and Noel has brought in some of his band too.’

The source added that Bonehead, who overcame tonsil cancer in 2023, could be credited with helping to end the feud between brothers.

‘Bonehead is one of the few people they are both pals with and he has recently been trying too and it’s finally paid off,’ a source close to the negotiations told the Mirror.
