Olivia Rodrigo lashed out at the Trump administration for using her song All-American B**** in an Instagram video urging illegal immigrants to self-deport.

In the post, footage plays of ICE agents chasing down and detaining people suspected of being in the US illegally, with the text: ‘If ICE finds you.’

The video then switches to footage of cheerful people voluntarily boarding transport out of the country, with the text: ‘If you self-deport.’

During the ‘self-deportation’ clips, Olivia is heard sunnily singing: ‘All the time, I’m grateful all the time, I’m sexy and I’m kind, I’m pretty when I cry.’

‘LEAVE NOW and self-deport using the CBP Home app. If you don’t, you will face the consequences,’ read the caption of the video, which was posted by the White House and the Department of Homeland Security.

However Olivia, 22, then leapt into the comments section and fumed: ‘don’t ever use my songs to promote your racist, hateful propaganda.’

DHS replied by issuing a statement that said: ‘America is grateful all the time for our federal law enforcement officers who keep us safe. We suggest Ms. Rodrigo thank them for their service, not belittle their sacrifice,’ via TMZ.

Olivia’s comment appears to have vanished from underneath the original video, though it remains unknown who was behind the change.

She previously slammed the Trump administration’s immigration policy on her Insta Stories in June, amid widespread media coverage of ICE raids in Los Angeles

‘I’ve lived in LA my whole life and I’m deeply upset about these violent deportations of my neighbors under the current administration,’ wrote Olivia, who grew up in Temecula, California, about 85 miles from Los Angeles.

‘LA simply wouldn’t exist without immigrants. Treating hardworking community members with such little respect, empathy, and due process is awful,’ she added.

‘I stand with the beautiful, diverse community of Los Angeles and with immigrants all across America. I stand for our right to freedom of speech and freedom to protest.’

Last November, the Team Trump TikTok account posted a video celebrating his election triumph and used Olivia’s song Deja Vu in the background.

A screen-grab quickly viral of a comment supposedly posted by Olivia reading: ‘ew don’t use my sound ever again ty,’ but the remark turned out to be fake.

Nevertheless Olivia apparently did succeed in having TikTok pull her song from the video, so that viewers who clicked the volume icon were confronted with the message: ‘this sound isn’t available.’

By contrast, Olivia was a supporter of the Biden administration, visiting the White House in 2021 to promote its COVID-19 vaccination policy to her young fans.

Amid the variety of videos she appeared in for the government was one in which she and COVID czar Dr. Anthony Fauci read out their ‘fan tweets.’

Posting an Instagram photo of herself with Joe Biden, she gushed about having ‘had the absolute honor of visiting the White House today and chatting with @potus about the importance of getting vaccinated!’

In the summer of 2024 she also endorsed Kamala Harris’ presidential run, sharing a video of the then-vice president discussing abortion rights at a rally.

Making her feelings about the candidate clear, Olivia – herself a longtime advocate of abortion rights and contraception – posted four raised hands emoji.
