From Atlantic-influenced Galicia to Garnacha-led Navarra and the volcanic soils of Tenerife, this week’s picks spotlight styles with lift and personality, alongside one classic Ribera del Duero for depth and winter-ready comfort.
Bright Galician Mencía (often likened to Cabernet Franc) with cherry and violet perfume, supple texture and a subtly flinty edge. Savoury, elegant and nicely poised.
Low-intervention Garnacha (that’s funk-free!) bursting with red fruit, with a floral, lightly stemmy edge – an easy pour for natural wine newbies.
