On Friday, the Philadelphia Phillies played their first game of the new season when they hosted the Texas Rangers.
The Phillies won by a score of 5-3.
Bryce Harper Makes Honest Statement About MLB Future

Before Opening Day, Bryce Harper met with the media.
He revealed thoughts on his MLB future.
Harper (h/t SPORTSRADIO 94WIP): “Obviously, the big number for me is 20. I want to able to play 20 years. To be able to do that for 15, super excited about it. Super humble to be able to do it here in Philly.”

Harper was one of the most touted prospects in all of MLB (and sports) history.
He was the first pick in the 2010 MLB Draft.
The eight-time All-Star spent the first seven seasons of his career playing for the Washington Nationals.

Harper is now in the middle of his eighth year with the Phillies.
During the 2022 season, he helped lead the franchise to the World Series.
John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia wrote on Thursday: “Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper have the 11th and 13th best selling jerseys in baseball since the Dodgers won the World Series.”
