Pixie Lott admits she’s easing herself back into public life after giving birth to her second child with husband Oliver Cheshire four weeks ago.
The singer and actress returned to promotional duties on Tuesday morning with an appearance on Capital Breakfast, where she discussed her appearance in forthcoming festive film Christmas Karma.
But she admitted it was a refreshing change to put on clothes and have her appearance catered for by a team of professionals after devoting most of her time to the inevitable pressures of parenthood.
‘I was in hair and makeup this morning,’ she told hosts Sian Welby, Jordan North and Chris Stark.
‘But it’s out of the ordinary because I’ve been with just spilt milk, coffee, pyjamas, this isn’t my usual everyday look let’s say at the moment.’
Pixie, 34, welcomed a son – her second child with model husband Oliver Cheshire – in October, just four months after announcing her pregnancy.

Eldest son Albert, nicknamed Bertie by the couple, was born in November 2023, and Pixie confirmed the two-year old has already adjusted to being a big brother.
‘He is loving it and he said straight away “love you,”‘ she said. ‘But it is still a massive change isn’t it for them to just have a new person in the family.’
Joined by co-star Kunal Naayer – best known for his starring role on US sitcom The Big Bang Theory – Pixie admitted they filmed much of their forthcoming Christmas film over the summer.
‘So that was a bit weird. We had our Christmas jumpers on and we went outside for ice cream and there was an ice cream van that turned up,’ she explained.
The singer met her husband for the first time at a Select Model catwalk show in 2010 and quickly struck up a romance. Oliver proposed six years later on the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral in London.
The couple finally exchanged vows in June 2022 at Ely Cathedral after they were forced to cancel their wedding several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Explaining their decision to postpone their nuptials rather than push ahead, Pixie previously said: ‘I didn’t want to do it when there were restrictions and we couldn’t invite everyone we wanted to because of the rules.
‘I wanted to wait until we could have the big party – our wedding will be a big party.’

Pixie also spoke about her relationship with Oliver and revealed the elements that make their romance work.
‘I think every relationship is different and there are no real rules,’ she told The Sun.
‘Some of my friends have dated loads of people, and others are still with the first person they started going out with, a bit like me. If it feels right, you just go with it.’
And, despite their hectic schedules – which often see them working thousands of miles apart – the couple have learned the true value in trusting one another.
She added: ‘Either I’m away or he’s away, and those times are hard. But we’re used to it because it’s been like that since the beginning.
‘We have complete trust, and I think if we didn’t have that, it would be much more difficult than it is. I’d like to think we were heading that way [towards marriage], definitely.’
