Timothee Chalamet appeared to ‘snub’ girlfriend Kylie Jenner at The Golden Globes, just one week after he declared his love to her after taking home a Critics Choice Award for his role in Marty Supreme.
Chalamet notably arrived solo to the red carpet at The Beverly Hilton, wearing a casual black suit with silver button detailing as he made his way into the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Jenner did not appear on the carpet, but instead posted a number of Instagram photos of her curve-hugging, glittering gold gown on Instagram.
The gown featured intricate beading at the shoulders, as she showed off her décolletage with a dramatic, slicked-back high ponytail.
And while the two of them sat together at the Globes table, getting a hilarious shout-out from host Nikki Glaser, it was a stark contrast from last weekend, when Chalamet claimed he couldn’t do any of this without the lip kit mogul.
According to body language expert Judi James, it was a surprising choice for the Marty Supreme actor to walk the red carpet without his girlfriend considering the outfit she chose for the occasion.
‘After love-bombing girlfriend Kylie at the Critic’s Choice awards, Timothee decided to walk the red carpet at the Golden Globes alone, despite the fact that Kylie was in her most extreme Hollywood look to date, dressed as what looked like an homage to the Oscar statue, perhaps in anticipation a win for Timothee in 2026,’ James told the Daily Mail exclusively.
‘Timothee’s body language on the red carpet gave some clue as to his overall intent but it could still have felt like a snub to the woman he was declaring his love for just last week,’ she shared.

James noted that Chalamet’s ‘low-key’ appearance may have been due to the fact that he didn’t want to call attention to himself – or his relationship.
‘Timothee was in emphatically “low key” mood with both his very plain black shapeless suit and his rather modest poses that gave a hint of a man determined to avoid any preening and peacocking and just look like an ordinary guy,’ she said.
‘He stood with his hands clasped behind his back and a slight forward lean to suggest a low ego or he clasped his hands in front of his torso with one hand holding one wrist, again in a gesture of low-key modesty,’ she continued.
‘He performed a praying hands gesture at one point to look humble and there was a V-sign of “peace” to the cameras as he finished his stint.’
James said that the decision to pose without Jenner may have been ‘hurtful’ to the reality star.
‘Like many stars at the peak of their profession, he appeared to be avoiding the kind of attention-seeking showboating an actor on the way up might adopt,’ James explained.
‘It’s a counter-intuitive look where someone’s greatness is defined by their performance of modesty,’ she shared.
‘The line will probably be that he didn’t want any distractions, but with many other top stars happily posing up with their other-halves and with Kylie looking especially red carpet-ready, it might have appeared rather hurtful to not pose with her now that they would appear to be officially “in love” and went to great pains to show it to the camera at last week’s awards,’ she revealed.

James also suggested that their two looks tonight clashed – as Jenner wanted to be ‘noticed’ in her glittering outfit while the actor appeared more ‘low key.’
‘Timothee’s look tonight suggested an aversion to looking like a show-pony and his very modest body language might have withered on the vine around Kylie’s show-stopping look,’ James said.
‘She looked as though she’d dressed to be noticed while he looked as though he was dressed to keep low-key and perhaps he felt the blend wouldn’t work with her working the poses Kardashian-style while he tried to look like an ordinary guy beside her.’
As he won the award for Best Actor on Sunday at the Critic’s Choice, Chalamet gave an emotional shout-out to Jenner, thanking her for their ‘foundation’.
‘Finally, thank you to my partner of three years, thank you for our foundation. I love you and couldn’t do this without you,’ Chalamet said.
‘I love you from the bottom of my heart,’ he said, as she mouthed back, ‘I love you.’
During that awards show, Jenner and Chalamet also skipped the red carpet, as they snuck into the ceremony looking like an old-Hollywood couple, with the Marty Supreme actor rocking a navy blue, pinstriped suit.
It seemed to be inspired by the 1950s-era costumes that he wore in his latest film, in which he plays a rising table tennis star determined to prove himself against a successful Japanese pro.
