Robert Irwin will take centre stage at this year’s TV WEEK Logie Awards, with Channel Seven confirming the rising global star as host of the ceremony set to take place on Sunday, August 16 at The Star Sydney.
The 22-year-old wildlife conservationist and television personality has emerged as one of the most in-demand talents worldwide, bringing what Seven described as ‘infectious energy, natural charisma and warmth’ to audiences both in Australia and abroad.
Speaking about the opportunity, Irwin said hosting the Logies was a personal and professional milestone.
‘Hosting the TV WEEK Logie Awards is one of the most exciting things I’ve been asked to do,’ Robert said.
‘Throughout my life, my goal has been to spread an important message not only through our work at Australia Zoo, but also on the screen.
‘I grew up watching the Logies with my family, so this is certainly an honour. Australian television has given so much to so many people.

Robert, who has steadily built his own career beyond the legacy of his late father Steve Irwin, replaces comedian Sam Pang in the coveted position.
The young talent has also become a familiar face on screens internationally.
Alongside his conservation work at Australia Zoo, he has expanded into entertainment, including a headline-grabbing stint winning the US season of Dancing with the Stars.
Seven’s Managing Director of Television and Streaming, Angus Ross, said Irwin’s global profile and audience appeal made him a natural fit to lead the awards.

This year’s ceremony carries added significance, marking 70 years of Australian television.
The milestone celebrates seven decades of storytelling that has defined the nation’s cultural identity and connected audiences across generations.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, fans are being invited to vote for the Top 70 Australian TV shows of the past 70 years.
Voting is now open and will close on June 21 at 5pm AEST, with viewers also able to nominate programs not included on the initial shortlist. The results will be revealed during the Logies broadcast in August.
The 66th TV WEEK Logie Awards awards will air live and exclusive on Channel Seven and 7plus.
