Roman Reigns has returned to WWE on Monday Night Raw
After a shocking return to WWE last week on Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns is back to set the record straight. First and foremost, rumors and speculation about him and his wife having another child have been running rampant on social media.
However, Roman Reigns has squashed those personal rumors in a rare video response on TikTok:
Rumors were circulating that Roman Reigns and his wife were expecting their sixth child. The rumor shocked WWE fans who were concerned that “The Tribal Chief” would miss SummerSlam as a result. However, the rumors have been put to bed after Roman’s video response.
The WWE universe can rest easy knowing that Reigns will be involved with the “biggest show of the summer.” However, it’s unclear what exactly he will be doing at the event following the injury to long-time rival Seth Rollins. Reigns vs. Rollins was the original plan for SummerSlam, but the card is always subject to change.
What Does WWE Have Planned for Roman Reigns Next?
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE officials were planning for Roman Reigns to face Bron Breakker at SummerSlam before Rollins’ knee injury. Now, the speculation is Roman will partner up with fan-favorite Jey Uso to face Breakker and Bronson Reed in a tag team match.
WWE officials are said to be “buying their time” until a timetable is set for Seth Rollins’ return. If his knee injury is not serious, the big match with Roman will happen sooner rather than later. But the latest news suggests Rollins could be out for upwards of a year. If that’s the case, WWE must pivot in a new direction that will lead Roman Reigns through SummerSlam and into 2026.
On Monday Night Raw tonight, The Tribal Chief will address Paul Heyman’s betrayal for the first time since WrestleMania 41. After more than five years together on-screen, WWE officials want the storyline to finish strong. A tag team match with Jey Uso may be enough to get through the next few weeks. However, it’s not a long-term solution for Roman Reigns on WWE programming.

Sportskeeda has speculated that The Rock may be making his return to WWE at SummerSlam to set up a WrestleMania match. If those creative plans prove to be true, it creates several questions. The first question is about The Rock’s involvement in the John Cena and Cody Rhodes rivalry. That remains a cliffhanger for WWE fans, which has yet to be addressed in almost six months.
The Rock’s Hollywood schedule also creates some complications. However, a match between The Rock and Roman Reigns has long been rumored and likely wouldn’t need much TV time to create intrigue for the fans. How will Paul Heyman be involved? Who wins, and what would be left for Roman to do after conquering “The Final Boss” on the grandest stage of them all?
WWE thrives on unanswered questions. Until tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw, that’s all the fans have to discuss. Roman Reigns has made it crystal clear that rumors about his family will not get in the way of his WWE creative plans. That won’t stop the fans from speculating about the next steps for The Tribal Chief.
