Today co-host Savannah Guthrie has revealed what she keeps inside her $2,500 purse – and some of the everyday items that she carries around are extremely out of the ordinary.
Guthrie, 54, appeared in a clip on the network’s TikTok account on Tuesday, as she shared with viewers what’s in her designer bag.
The news anchor’s accessory of choice appeared to be the small Marcie bag in grained black leather by Chloé, which retails for $2,490.
‘This is what’s in my bag, for better or for worse,’ Guthrie joked at the beginning of the video, prefacing the reveal by admitting that her purse was ‘overstuffed.’
The first thing that Guthrie pulled out was a LUNA protein bar, which was completely crushed by the contents in her purse.
‘I always have a snack,’ Guthrie said.
‘This bar has been in here so long that it’s, like, thin, it’s like I sat on it, but I’ll still eat it in a pinch,’ the mom-of-two admitted.
Next, the anchor revealed that she can’t live without a gaggle of phone chargers, which she said she has to label because her children always try to steal them.

She then pulled out three pairs of glasses, including a vibrant green pair, joking that they were ‘middle-aged.’
Of course, Guthrie said that she always keeps throat lozenges in her bag, too, as she is about to undergo vocal surgery in the New Year.
But perhaps one of the most surprising items that Guthrie kept in her bag was one that she pulled out towards the end of the video – a weighted sleeping eye mask.
‘I am obsessed with this sleeping mask, it’s weighted, and I’m actually going to take a nap today at work because we have the tree lighting,’ she explained, referencing the network’s Christmas decorations at Rockefeller Center in New York City.
After showing off the sleeping mask, she then pulled out another bulky item: a journal.
She said that her goal was to write in it every day.
The last few items that Guthrie pulled out of her purse were basics like her ID, passport, perfume and Tic Tacs.

‘How am I going to get all of this back in here?’ the TODAY co-host quipped at the end of the video.
Guthrie’s playful video comes just a few weeks after she announced that she would be taking some time away from the Today show to undergo vocal surgery.
During the December 19 program, Guthrie revealed that she has nodules on her vocal cords and a polyp that requires removal.
Addressing viewers, Guthrie said: ‘Some of you have noticed that my voice has been very scratchy and started to crack a little bit.
‘Well, I have found out what it is. I have vocal nodules and I also have a polyp.
‘It’s not a big, big deal, but I am going to have to have surgery in the new year and be off for a couple of weeks, so this is my last day for a little while.’
Guthrie added that she was ‘really excited’ to have received her diagnosis after years of struggling to understand what was wrong.
She continued: ‘This has been going on for years, honestly, so to have a solution.’
Today show co-star Sheinelle Jones revealed that she underwent the same surgery herself.
Speaking to the fellow presenters, she said: ‘You guys know, I had the same thing. The surgery is in and out, no big deal.
‘The silver lining is permission to be still. The house gets quiet. The kids want to help you out.’
