He continued, ‘The brightest and bravest soul there is, she was the truest example of how strong the human spirit can be, and how living with joy and love can defy the odds.

‘To take it all on together, and that’s what we did,’ he added.
‘She’s my best mate and my biggest inspiration, and she always will be.
Telling followers that he now does not know what life looks like without his dear mum, Adam said he was not alone.
‘I have an abundance of love and support that I truly didn’t think was possible,’ he said.
After thanking his friends for helping him through a difficult time, Adam also paid a heartfelt tribute to the doctors who cared for his mother after she was diagnosed with cancer 16 years ago.
‘Thank you for doing what you do from the bottom of my heart,’ he told his mother’s carers in Wollongong, south of Sydney.
‘It was by far the hardest thing I’ll ever go through just myself and her for her last hours,’ he continued.
‘But the way in which the staff…took care of my mum with such love respect and dignity is something I will never ever forget.

‘It was the very best of what humanity can be in my opinion.
‘Thank you for being so kind to my beautiful mother. Best thing I can do now is make sure I try and navigate life with the outlook and integrity she lived with, with the wonder and joy of it all and take her wherever I go.
‘Thanks again to everyone who loved and supported my mum xxx.
Adam, who rose to fame on the Netflix hit Sex/Life, was working as a labourer in Wollongong before taking up acting at 23.
A confessed ‘bogan’, Adam kept his acting dreams secret from his friends because he was so scared of being mocked.
‘I told them I was working overtime because I didn’t want my mates knowing I was trying acting, it was so foreign to all of us,’ he told the Daily Telegraph in 2018.
But his big break came when he landed the role of Nate Baldwin in the ABC drama Janet King, and starred on the show for seven episodes.
While on set, he discovered Lifetime’s series UnREAL was looking specifically for an Australian actor.
Despite having minimal experience in Hollywood, Adam swiftly landed the part as August Walker and flew out to Vancouver to film.
The American drama is set behind the scenes of a fictional reality dating show, with Adam securing the role of a contestant competing for the affections of a blonde bachelorette named Serena.
It led to him landing the lead role of Brad Simon in Netflix’s Sex/Life.
Thanks to one saucy shower scene – which involved Adam being completely naked – the Aussie actor became an overnight sensation.
