Sharon Stone won’t be censored.

The actress-turned-painter, 67, let loose in a series of Instagram videos this week defending aging and nudity — including one posted Tuesday in which she recalled a film crew asking to move a nude painting out of frame during a tour of her Los Angeles art studio.

“Are we supposed to be terrified when we look in the mirror?” Stone said in the clip. “Why are we supposed to be afraid of our own human self? It’s like the weirdest idea in the world to me.”

The “Basic Instinct” star compared her body to real estate, adding, “Excuse me, I wear it every day. I get up in it. I go to sleep in it. It’s my apartment. I live here.”

In her caption, Stone wrote, “Why in 2026 are we still afraid of aging & living in our own selves.” She continued, “We are more than appearance.. we are artists, mothers, sisters, wives, nurses, teachers… and the list goes on!”

The painting in question, which Stone dubbed “The Goddess,” depicted a nude woman. Stone took issue with the double standard, writing, “We are afraid of nudity on our screens, our bodies, our home.. but not violence or every other thing we are constantly bombarded with day in and day out? Get real!”

In a clip posted last week, the outspoken star stood in front of the same portrait and made the case for celebrating the female body.

“We’re the goddess of creation… We create the homes, we create the families, we create a life for everyone, and why should we be afraid of that?” she said, gesturing toward the painting. “It is what made you.”

It’s hardly the first time the Oscar-nominated actress has sounded off on society’s fear of growing older. In a March 2025 interview with the Sunday Times, Stone joked that her “underarms have pleats now” — but reframed the change as a badge of honor.

“I think, ‘Well, I had beautiful arms and now they’re strong and painting and like angel wings,’” she told the outlet. “So what if they have pleats? Maybe that’s what makes them wonderful now.”

The Golden Globe winner also called out people who are “embarrassed about being older” as “stupid and ungrateful” in a January 2024 interview with the same publication.

“I like being alive and healthy,” she said at the time. “And I think that we should all be super-thrilled to make it. Because I’ve witnessed any number of people not making it.”

Stone pivoted to visual art during the pandemic and has since held solo exhibitions in Connecticut, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Berlin, with her most recent portrait series exploring themes of loss and liberation.

The mother of three is also back on the small screen with a role in “Euphoria” Season 3, which premieres on HBO on April 12.
