Shoppers are in a frenzy over a $49 buy which has been dubbed every parent’s ‘best friend’.
Thousands are flocking to their nearest Kmart store to get their hands on an indoor wooden play tent for children in order to be ‘slumber party ready’.
Elle, a mum, revealed that her daughter could not get enough of the large play pen and insisted on decorating her new favourite area with fairy lights and soft toys.
Parents are obsessed with the easy-to-assemble product that promises a safe indoor hub to ‘play pretend’ and have a picnic.
Many other shoppers are also hoping to snag the budget-friendly item for themselves – needing some time in a safe space to escape from the pressures of life.

Elle shared a photo of her smiling daughter inside the tent and caused several hearts to melt at the sweet sight.
“I need this for me,” a Kmart shopper declared immediately. “If I buy two, I can make a grown-up tent.”
Another woman said to her husband: ‘How good would this be to add to a little mindfulness/peaceful area at home – with the fairy lights too of course!’
Parents also marvelled at the convenience it added to their lives.
‘It would save me from having to make a cubby every time!’ a dad said.
‘This is great – like a permanent pillow fort, but better,’ wrote a mum.
A third said: ‘I love these, they would be so good for the nursery.’
‘This is so pretty, my kids will love this,’ added another.

Others found alternate uses for the tent, suggesting it be used for a classroom’s mindfulness area or at a grandparent’s house to make children feel more at home.
But some had issues with the play tent.
‘This was really disappointing,’ a mum reviewed on Kmart’s website.
‘The cover doesn’t fit on the structure and it is made from very cheap feeling and looking fabric,’ she added.
Another also criticised the quality and said it was merely ‘okay’.
