Savvy Aussie shoppers are raving about a ‘secret’ luxe shoe range quietly launched at Target, sending fashion insiders into a frenzy over what could be the store’s most stylish move yet.
The budget retailer has rolled out its new ‘LuxeBase’ collection across stores and online, and eagle-eyed shoppers have already started snapping up the chic styles, many of which look far more expensive than their price tags.
Young mum Chelsea Williamson was one of the first to alert her TikTok followers, posting a now-viral PSA that’s racked up hundreds of thousands of views.
‘If you didn’t already know this, I’m going to teach you something,’ Chelsea said in her video.
‘Target recently launched a range called LuxeBase and I got these shoes and they’re so comfortable.’
She showed off the Women’s Pointed Sling Back Bora Flat in Chocolate ($35) – a sleek, padded slingback that wouldn’t look out of place in a designer boutique.
‘This is a bit more of an in-house luxe brand for Target, so it’s a little bit pricier but the quality is amazing,’ she explained.
‘These shoes are completely padded so they’re actually comfortable. I think they’re only about $5 more expensive than the regular range, and seriously worth it.’

Her fans were quick to agree, with one writing: ‘I got these in the heels version and they were sooo comfy!’
‘These are exactly what I’ve been looking for. Thank you,’ another added.
‘The luxo range shoes are amazing,’ another wrote, add: ‘I bought one recently and walked in them almost 10k and my feet were absolutely fine and they look cute.’
Meanwhile, Brisbane-based personal stylist Sarah Strozkiy also shared her verdict, describing the collection as ‘budget luxe with a twist.’
Her business Seasonal Style Club, helps women discover their personal style and build a wardrobe designed for them.
She highlighted the Women’s Strap Kelly Ballet Flat in Natural Textured Fabric ($30), had more of a chic ‘office-friendly style’ that comes with the upgraded comfort features.
‘They’ve added high density foam and contour padding to make their shoes feel more comfortable and premium,’ Sarah told her followers.
‘But be warned, they’re still synthetic so even though they look really chic and comfy, your feet may get sweaty in the summer and they won’t last forever.’

What is real however, is Target’s range of Premium Suede Leather handbags which feel a lot more expensive than they are.
Starting at $45, it’s no wonder everyone’s been losing it since their launch in June.
One is called the Crescent Shoulder Bag, priced at $45 and available in tan, chocolate, sand and khaki. It’s compact but still roomy enough for everyday essentials like your phone, wallet and keys.
The other is their medium-sized ($80) also available in three colours: tan, chocolate, khaki.

TikToker Emma Vosti was among the first to shout it from the rooftops in , declaring in a now-viral clip at the time.
‘It’s got the lining on the bottom. It’s a beautiful chocolate colour.
‘It’s got the stitching detail. Are you kidding me Target?’ she said, showing off the tag inside marked genuine suede leather.
Suede is having a major moment this winter with loafers, jackets and bags all getting the retro, tactile treatment.
‘At Target, we’re all about helping our customers feel confident – and that starts with pieces that feel just as good as they look,’ Carrie Kirkman told FEMAIL, who holds the position of General Manager Merchandise & Marketing at Target Australia.
‘Our range of suede bags is a perfect example: they’re on-trend, elevated, and effortlessly easy to style. All are at an accessible price point and made to last.’
