Simon Cowell pulled a series of kooky facial expressions as he departed Britain’s Got Talent auditions on Wednesday night in London.

The TV judge, 63, looked casual in a grey long-sleeved top, coordinating trousers and black leather shoes as he emerged from the London Palladium’s stage door.

He was joined by a chaperone as he climbed into a nearby luxury car, following a day of filming for the ITV reality show.

Bruno Tonioli is believed to have joked that he was ‘told off’ during his first day filming for the Britain’s Got Talent auditions on Tuesday.

The new judge, 67, had an eventful first day at the London Palladium after taking on his new job as he pushed the golden buzzer too early for one act.

And Bruno reportedly turned to the audience to joke that he had already been ‘told off’ as he gushed over how much he was enjoying being a judge already.

Alesha Dixon – who joins him on the panel with Simon and Amanda Holden – reportedly had to rein in Bruno as he became overexcited during the auditions.

According to The Sun, Bruno told the audience: ‘I’ve had so much fun, I’ve already been told off. I’m loving it!’

It was claimed Bruno had to be rapped on the knuckles after he couldn’t help but jump to his feet during filming, with Alesha, 44, reportedly telling him to sit down.

Bruno appeared to be just as thrilled after filming on Wednesday as he flashed a massive grin while leaving the London Palladium after the second day of auditions.

During the first day of filming, Bruno created some trouble when he pushed the golden buzzer too early, warm-up act Adam Khan reported.

They said Bruno had pressed the Golden Buzzer too early to avoid being beaten to the chase by Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon, and so had pressed it during the act.

As a result, the moment had to be recorded all over again so that the cameras could be set up properly.

Adam tweeted: ‘So… I just witnessed #BGT history!!! An act came on… it was pretty clear Alesha and Simon both wanted to press the#GoldenBuzzer…

‘So Bruno beat them to it and pressed it *during the act*! They were performing with confetti falling on them and the BGT theme playing in the back!’

‘We now have to re-record the #GoldenBuzzer moment because no cameras were properly in place as nobody expected it to happen during the act.’

Elsewhere inside the first day of auditions, Ant and Dec introduced the four judges to the stage as they walked out to Survivor’s Eye Of The Tiger.

Jesting that Simon has ‘teased’ him with the job for years, one fan filmed from the audience as Bruno told the audience: ‘Thank you very, very much. I am thrilled to be here.

Turning to Amanda and Alesha, he continued: ‘Look at these girls, they are stunning. And my old friend Simon, what an honour it is to finally work with you, he’s teased me with this for years, years and years and years.

‘Honestly, I am thrilled to be here. Emotional, and very, very nervous.’

While Alesha then shared: ‘Well, do you know what Bruno? I think you should have a go at pressing the buzzer.’

The judges and audience then counted him down as the pro pushed on the buzzer, with Alesha adding: ‘Welcome to the show’, before he thanked his fellow panel and gave them each a hug.

It comes after it was reported Bruno would triple the salary he received on Strictly Come Dancing by joining the ITV judging panel.

The former Strictly judge replaced David Walliams, who left the show last year, after ITV bosses who wanted comedian Alan Carr were overruled by boss Simon Cowell.

Bruno, who is said to be ‘delighted’ to return to Saturday night prime time TV in the UK, will now overshadow his former Strictly co-stars wage by three times with his reported £850,000 pay packet.

Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke are all believed to earn £250,000 per series on the Strictly judging panel.
