Kyle Hunt was on a first date when things took an awkward turn after the woman casually asked if he could buy her a $90,000 car.
The Gen Z CEO, from Melbourne, hit things off with the date he met on Hinge until the bold request ended in him deleting the app.
‘We went to dinner, things were all good. I actually didn’t mind her, she’s pretty funny. But when the date came to an end, she whipped out her phone,’ Kyle said in a video.
‘She was showing me this car and it was a Ford Raptor. For anyone who doesn’t know what a Ford Raptor is, it’s a $90,000 car. And she turns to me and she’s like, “What if you bought it for me? No, like if you actually bought me this car?”‘
Stunned by his date’s wild demand, the 25-year-old entrepreneur gently reminded her they were only on their first date – but she didn’t back down.
‘Then she tried to bribe me, saying she’d do whatever it takes to get the car… It’s a $90,000 car,’ he said.
‘I’ve just met you on a first date. It’s definitely not happening… Mind you, I was paying for the dinner so why don’t you wine and dine me before you extort me?’
Speaking to Daily Mail, Kyle joked: ‘The strange thing is, the date went so well and she was a laugh… I thought we’d wait until after the divorce to screw each other over.’

The exchange didn’t leave a good first impression of the woman, prompting Kyle to declare: ‘I didn’t realise the dating scene is so bad now.
‘Deleting Hinge after this.’
His video has been viewed more than 450,000 times – with many weighing in on the woman’s ‘rude’ request.
‘That’s wild – I couldn’t even let a guy pay for dinner on a first date because it feels unfair,’ one shared.
‘The dating scene is a joke,’ another said.
‘Sir that is a loan application, not a date,’ one joked.
‘I’m honestly flabbergasted,’ another added.
‘What the f***, are you joking? Dating is a f***ing joke,’ one suggested.
However, the request may not come as a surprise to many of his followers.
The Gen Z CEO is best known on social media for his random acts of kindness – from donating $10,000 to a 12-year-old boy with cancer to paying off a stranger’s rent for a year and spoiling his employees with lavish gifts.
The 25-year-old has long been candid about his rise to success, from living in 30 foster homes to building multi-million dollar businesses in Australia – including founding the Health Care Providers Association (HCPA).

Many suggested the single woman may have known Kyle’s background before the date and decided to ‘shoot her shot’ at getting a free car.
‘Can 100 per cent guarantee she knew who you were when she organised that date. There’s no way in any universe I’d ask for anything,’ one shared.
‘It would be so hard to go on dates when you are you, like how do you know someone is genuine and not just using you for nice things? Best of luck,’ another suggested.
‘Damn, she didn’t wanna wait till the divorce to take the money,’ one joked.
Many were stunned Kyle was still on the market, while others shared their struggles with finding decent dates on dating apps.
‘Okay I’ve followed you for a while and always thought you were so lovely. The fact you are single WTF?’ one said.
‘Why is someone as lovely as you on Hinge? What hope does the rest of us have? Stay off it, your profile’s too big. Your success is admirable but you, as a strong person, are way more impressive,’ another suggested.
‘Every time I think, maybe I might start dating again… I see something like this that reminds me why I don’t,’ one shared.
While another added: ‘My first date asked to borrow $500. I was like, “Um, I don’t know you yet” – and I thought that was bad.’
