Tamra Judge claims Wendy Osefo's neighbor knew something was 'shady' about burglary claims

The neighbors know her name.

Tamra Judge revealed that one of Wendy Osefo’s neighbors sent the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star a DM about the professor’s claims that her home was burglarized.

“Her neighbor slid into my DM,” Judge shared on her and Teddi Mellencamp’s “Two Ts In A Pod” podcast Tuesday.

“[She said] basically, they all got notices on their front door or in their mailbox that there had been a burglary at Wendy and Eddie [Osefo]’s house. And instantly, the whole entire neighborhood was thinking, ‘This is insurance fraud,’” the reality star claimed.

Judge said the neighbor told her everyone in the Osefos’ neighborhood couldn’t believe a burglary had occurred.

“She goes, ‘We were all saying, “No way,”’ Judge continued.

“I don’t know if the area where they’re at is not known for burglaries, but she is on TV, so that’s a different level. But they all thought something was kind of shady about it,” she added.

Page Six has reached out to Wendy’s reps for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Last week, the “Real Housewives of Potomac” star and her husband, Eddie, both 41, were arrested and booked on numerous fraud charges.

Wendy is facing a total of 16 charges, including insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud and false statement to a police officer.

Eddie, on the other hand, is facing 18 charges, including nine for felony false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300, eight for misdemeanor on-false/mislead info fraud in excess of $300 and a misdemeanor charge for allegedly making a false statement to an officer.

In April 2024, the couple, who tied the knot in 2011, claimed their Maryland home was burglarized while they were vacationing in Jamaica.

The reality stars claimed jewelry and several designer items were stolen from their residence.

Eddie filed claims with two different insurance companies, with both he and his wife allegedly signing statements claiming $450,000 in property loss and $2,500 in property damage.

However, upon investigation, police found that there was no motion found on the Osefos’ security home footage while they were out of the country.

Additionally, investigators claimed Wendy was seen at a red carpet event wearing one of the rings she claimed was stolen.

Authorities also discovered that the Osefos were “burdened by substantial debt” at the time.

A rep for the Osefos told Page Six last Friday: “Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits.

“They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans, and colleagues. The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.”

After news of the arrest surfaced, Wendy resigned from teaching this fall at Wesleyan University.
