Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been together for almost two years now: their anniversary is next month.
And over the summer they took a big step forward in their relationship, according to a new cover story by UsWeekly.
‘They found a lot of common ground they were not expecting, and it made their relationship stronger,’ said a source.
And the insider broke down the three things that bond them. ‘They have found their counterpart in terms of ambition, work ethic and values,’ said the pal.
Both the singer and the football player are goal oriented.
‘Athletes have a different mindset; they are more disciplined, and it’s very similar to Taylor’s mindset,’ a second source shared. ‘There are a lot of parallels, and they have really connected on that level with eating and working out.’

Their break from work over the summer is what made them closer than ever, the insider has claimed.
‘Taylor and Travis have settled into a real rhythm as a couple, and the more time they spend together, the more they realize how aligned they are,’ said a source.
Added a second source: ‘During this downtime, they really noticed all the little things they have in common. They feel like they’ve found their person.’
‘The break came at the right [moment],’ says the second source. ‘Taylor needed to spend more time with Travis [so they could really] get to know each other.’
Turns out their dedication to their careers makes them perfect for each other.
And it helps that they are both just nice. ‘They are very empathetic people. Meeting someone like that is a dream come true for them,’ the second source noted.
The two are romantic as well as they do sweet things for each other.
‘She leaves Travis love notes and buys sentimental gifts, and he does the same thing,’ the second source shared, adding she ‘never experienced that in a partner before Travis.’
And Kelce keeps her attention. ‘Travis has the best personality,’ says the first source. ‘Taylor thinks he’s hilarious and is never bored with him.’

The first source adds that Swift and Kelce are ‘on the same page’ when it comes to settling down.
‘They want to be married and have kids in the future,’ said the source. ‘They’re both genuinely ready for that chapter.’
Meanwhile, on August 12 Swift shocked her fans with a countdown leading down to the announcement of her new album: The Life Of A Showgirl.
The superstar’s website initially featured a countdown over a glittering orange background and the cryptic text below: ‘Expires August 12 at 12:12AM ET.’
Taylor’s website crashed immediately after the timer ran out, stymying many of her devoted fans, but the X account for her boyfriend Kelce’s podcast shared a clip of her announcing the new LP.
‘So I wanted to show you something,’ Taylor said in a clip as she sat next to Travis. Then she pulled out a white case with ‘TS’ written on the side in orange block letters.

‘This is my brand-new album, The Life Of A Showgirl,’ Taylor said proudly as she held up a vinyl version of the album, which was censored in the video.
Travis’ brother Jason Kelce let out a piercing scream of joy as soon as the album title escaped her lips.
‘TS 12!’ Travis cheered excitedly, referencing The Life Of A Showgirl’s status as her twelfth studio album, as the announcement clip came to an abrupt end.
Fans may be forced to wait until the New Heights episode drops on Wednesday to see an uncensored version of the album artwork.
Once Swift’s website was back online, it had transformed into a ‘pre pre-order’ store for the upcoming album.
She was offering a $30 vinyl version of the album, a $13 CD that came with a double-sided poster decorated on either side with photos of the hitmaker and a $20 cassette version designed to appeal to fans with a retro streak.
