Taylor Swift’s net worth reaches a new level as she plans her wedding with Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

Tight end Travis Kelce is returning to the Kansas City Chiefs for another season, and no one is more pumped than the 36-year-old veteran.

“It was pretty short and brief, and the Chiefs knew where I was the entire time on it,” Kelce said of making the final decision during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

“I’m still in love with this game. I still love going to work, putting on the pads, grinding it out, and just playing the game.”

The four-time First-Team All-Pro also gave credit to his future wife, Taylor Swift, for inspiring his return. ESPN’s Nate Taylor reported on March 10 that the famous couple plans to wed before training camp, which typically starts at the end of July.

“We share the same love for what we do, and fortunately, we’ve had this desire since we were kids in our selective professions,” Kelce said of the 14-time Grammy winner. “It’s amazing to see her keep going to the table, keep finding new things to write about, keep finding new melodies and, on top of that, still seeing her have that love and joy in what she does.”

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Kelce is signing a one-year, $12 million deal with a max value of $15 million. Of course, his return to football is not motivated by money, a situation Swift understands.

Taylor Swift’s Net Worth Ballooned to $2 Billion

Forbes updated Swift’s net worth to $2 billion on Tuesday. “Her fortune includes nearly $800 million amassed from royalties and touring, plus a music catalog worth an estimated $600 million and some $110 million in real estate,” Forbes noted.

After reclaiming the rights to her first six albums in 2025, Swift dropped “The Life of a Showgirl” in October, which was an immediate success, selling a record-breaking 4.002 million units in its opening week. The album looks to score its third No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with the newest single, “Elizabeth Taylor.”

This all happened after Swift spent nearly two years traveling the globe with the “Eras Tour,” the first tour in history to gross over $2 billion in ticket sales.

Swift first earned billionaire status in October 2023. As of October 14, 2025, her net worth was estimated by Forbes to be $1.6 billion. In December, “Taylor Swift: The End of an Era” docuseries premiered on Disney+ along with “The Eras Tour: The Final Show” concert movie. Disney beat out Netflix and Amazon to secure the global streaming rights in a reported $100 million bid.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Have No Plans to Slow Down Career-Wise After Getting Married

While promoting “The Life of a Showgirl,” Swift addressed the rumors that she may retire after tying the knot with Kelce. While the Chiefs star prepares for his 14th season in the NFL, Swift plans to keep working, as well.

“I just saw some fans going, ‘Well, she’s going to get married and then she’s going to have children and then she’s going to be the last album,’” she said during an appearance on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2. Even suggesting the notion is “a shockingly offensive thing to say.”

“It’s not why people get married,” Swift continued. “So that they can quit their job… I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music.”

“That’s the coolest thing about Travis, like he’s so, he is so passionate about what he does, that me being passionate about what I do, it connects us. There’s no point in time where he’s gonna be like, ‘I’m really upset that you’re still making the music. The music thing that I signed up for that I knew you love, I thought you were gonna stop doing that.’

“For him, it’s practice. For me, it’s rehearsal. For him, it’s a game. For me, it’s a show. We just call them different things… And we’re both competitive, like in fun ways, not in ways that eat away at us, but just like we just love it.”
