The LYMA Laser Pro retails for $6,000

With stars such as Kris Jenner frequently debuting younger and younger visages, it’s hard not to fantasize and hope for an attainable way to get the same results.

Fortunately, there is another way – and it doesn’t require any of the downtime or pain of plastic surgery.

The British company LYMA launched in 2018 with a science-backed supplement aimed at sleep, stress, and skin – a wellness pill that almost immediately got a devoted following. A few years later, they introduced their first at-home laser, and it quickly became one of the most coveted (and expensive) beauty devices on the market.

The LYMA Laser Pro, which came to the United States this year after receiving FDA clearance, is unique because it’s not your typical laser. Rather than an LED tool, the device uses cold laser technology, which means it delivers celebrity-worthy results without redness, pain, or downtime – and there’s no risk of losing that ‘natural’ look.

We were fortunate enough to try the laser, which has a waiting list despite its $5,995 price tag, during a recent visit to Joanna Czech spa in New York City.

The VIP pop-up experience was made especially luxe because it marked the first time the LYMA Lift treatment has been available Stateside – as normally the treatment is exclusive to LYMA’s London HQ clientele and visitors.

And it’s not just beauty fanatics who love the device, which also comes in the more affordable original LYMA Laser for $2,021, as celebrities such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Martha Stewart, Miranda Kerr, Carey Mulligan, Kate Beckinsale, and Hannah Waddingham are all fans of the groundbreaking laser.

Housed in a stunning, minimalist Soho space that feels relaxing as soon as you step inside, the treatment began with a gentle cleanse to remove any makeup and New York City air.

From there, the 90-minute procedure moves into a facial massage, which feels especially indulgent.

The sculpting stage, a technique developed in collaboration with facial palsy plastic surgeons, incorporates acupressure and sweeping techniques to release tension, improve blood flow and warm the muscles.

After, the invigorating stage focuses on firm, targeted movements that encourage muscle memory, release fascia – a sheath of fibrous tissue that encloses a muscle or organ – and soften fine lines.

During the lifting stage of the facial, the technician used the LYMA Laser’s cold light in kneading motions to drain lymph nodes, boost circulation, and break down toxins in the muscle fibers.

As promised, the process was 100 percent pain-free – and still managed to be relaxing.

Throughout the treatment, the LYMA Laser feels gentle and refreshing – cool against the skin, with none of the heat or tingling typically associated with in-office laser devices. But behind that softness is impressive power: the device delivers a 1450mW near-infrared continuous cold laser beam at 808nm, capable of penetrating up to 10cm into the dermis.

According to the company, that depth allows it to have a biological effect, simultaneously stimulating cellular repair and lifting both the skin and the underlying muscle.

The decadent facial concludes with LYMA’s serum and cream – an anti-aging duo designed to lock in the laser’s benefits. In addition to providing hydration, the formulas also strengthen the skin barrier and encourage cell renewal.

Although we had just one treatment of the LYMA Laser, our skin was left glowy and radiant after the procedure, with colleagues commenting on just how dewy and rejuvenated we looked upon our return to the office.

It’s not a filler-like transformation; instead, it’s the sort of quietly expensive result that makes people remark on how good your skin is looking lately.

While we saw promising results after just one use, the laser really transforms the face over a 30-day period, during which the company has found skin elasticity increases by more than 103 percent.

If you’re lucky enough to get an invite to LYMA Laser’s New York City pop-up, don’t hesitate – your skin will thank you.
