While the sci-fi is designed to poke fun at Hollywood’s obsession with ageing, it’s a theme that Demi knows all too well, having reinvented herself countless times.
Last week, the mother-of-three turned 63, yet in a red carpet appearance on Sunday she looked more youthful than ever.
As she hit the red carpet for the Landman season two premiere, fans were left in awe at her stunning looks.
While Demi has insisted that she’s never gone under the knife, aesthetic experts have predicted she’s undergone £250,000 worth of cosmetic surgery, including breast implants, a nose job and plenty of anti-ageing procedures.
So what exactly is the secret behind Demi’s youthful looks?

Demi has previously revealed how she uses leech facials to stay looking young, telling talk show host David Letterman in 2008: ‘I feel like I’ve always been someone looking for the cutting edge of things that optimise your health and healing.
‘I was in Austria doing a cleanse and part of the treatment was leech therapy. These aren’t just swamp leeches though – we are talking about highly trained medical leeches.
‘These are not some low-level scavengers – we’re talking high-level blood suckers.’
Leech therapy has a long history – ancient Egyptian doctors once considered them a cure-all.
Today, they are sometimes used in plastic and reconstructive surgery to assist in the reattachment of severed body parts.
‘They have a little enzyme that when they are biting down in you it gets released in your blood and generally you bleed for quite a bit – and your health is optimised,’ she explained.
‘It detoxifies your blood – I’m feeling very detoxified right now. I did it in some woman’s house lying on her bed. We did a little sampler first, which is in the belly button.’
Demi also follows a strict raw vegan diet, which means she only eats raw plant foods that can be consumed without cooking.

Proponents claim that ingredients can lose important nutrients and enzymes in the cooking process – and having raw plant food will improve energy levels, prevent disease and boost overall health.
She is not the only famous face to have signed up for the diet with others, including Gwyneth Paltrow, following suit.
But it comes with a word of caution from Dr Laura Brown, a senior lecturer in nutrition at Teesside University, who warned the diet could cause more harm than good if followed for a long time.
On The Conversation website, she said some vegetables actually provide a greater nutrient content when cooked, as the process helps break down cell walls and allows nutrients to be released.
The actress is also teetotal after battling alcoholism during her marriage to Ashton Kutcher.
While Demi has not admitted to undergoing plastic surgery, she has revealed that her front teeth are fake after she lost them due to ‘stress’ in 2017.
The actress made the admission that her front two teeth fell out on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Demi explained: ‘I sheared off my front teeth. I’d love to say it was skateboarding or something really kind of cool.
‘But I think I think it’s something that’s important to share because I think it’s literally, probably after heart disease, one of the biggest killers in in America, which is stress.’

Demi explained: ‘I sheared off my front teeth. I’d love to say it was skateboarding or something really kind of cool, but I think I think it’s something that’s important to share because I think it’s literally, probably after heart disease, one of the biggest killers in in America, which is stress.
‘So you lost your front tooth?’ Jimmy asked, incredulous.
‘Both, actually, but the picture’s only minus one,’ she replied.
‘I literally knocked it out,’ Demi said of how her teeth went missing. ‘I knocked it out. It was almost like it fell out and my warranty was up.’
‘Thank God for modern dentistry!’ she raved.
Speculation that Demi had gone under knife reached fever point in 2021 when she looked completely unrecognisable walking the runway for Fendi.
Mere minutes after she made her debut, social media was flooded with questions about her face – with many asking why she looked so different, with dozens suggesting that her transformation may well have come as the result of plastic surgery.
Several cosmetic experts agreed with the claims, with board certified dermatologist Dr. Corey L Hartman, founder of Skin Wellness Dermatology in Birmingham, Alabama, telling DailyMail.com that it appeared as though Demi had undergone more than one procedure to alter her face.

Noting that he ‘did not treat Demi personally’, Dr. Hartman disagreed with suggestions that the actress’s drastic transformation was done with makeup alone, stating: ‘While a lot of this look may be attributed to makeup and lighting, it also appears that perhaps she has had too much fat removed from her buccal fat pads.
‘This appears to have caused dermal filler in the cheek to appear too augmented resulting in this dramatically different appearance.’
Four other doctors told OK Magazine that Demi’s appearance could have been down to her having ‘gone overboard with injectable fillers.’
Plastic surgeon Ryan Neinstein, who doesn’t treat Demi said: ‘Moore was sucking in her cheeks.
‘Many young women seek high cheekbones, hollow cheeks and a cross-cheek shadow, which is a popular look on social media and often duplicated with makeup.
‘One of the most obvious signs of facelift surgery is the cross-cheek depression or “joker line,” certain surgical maneuvers in a facelift can give this appearance.’
Meanwhile, aesthetic doctor Dr Johnny Betteridge speculated that Demi maintained her youthful looks with a face and neck-lift as well as eye-lid surgery.
In an Instagram video, the founder of JB Aesthetics Dr Betteridge looked at an image of Demi in 2019, where he said there were ‘some characteristic signs of aging to the face and neck with skin laxity and volume loss being the predominant features.’
But after comparing to an image of her in 2024 at The Substance’s premier, he explained her face now looks more ‘lifted’.
‘Notice how her face has changed from how we saw it a few years ago to now, a much more lifted and tighter appearance. These features are likely attributed to a deep plane face and neck-lift,’ he said.
One video from September last year showed apparent evidence of the surgical procedure as the star was seen with her hair tucked behind her ear, revealing a surgical scar usually seen following a face-lift.
‘If you look closely you can see the surgical scar which has been discreetly placed in front of the ear,’ Dr Betteridge said.
In the video he also attributed her youthful appearance and lack of wrinkles around her eyes to a blepharoplasty — a a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids.
‘Her eye area has a much smoother contour and her eyelids are also more visible. These changes we can likely attribute to an upper and lower blepharoplasty,’ he said.
Dr Betteridge added: ‘This highlights how really good plastic surgery can be so effective at not changing the way someone looks, but just generally refreshing someone’s appearance.’
Plastic surgeon Dr Mark Solomos, of Channel 4’s 10 Years Younger, also weighed in on possible procedures the actress may have gone for.

He told Hello! magazine that he believes she started getting surgery young and kept up her youthful appearance with minor interventions.
Praising her ‘incredible bone structure’, he suggested she may have had a lip lift, a youth-enhancing procedure that reduces the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip.
This also irons out some of the creases between the nose and the upper lip that appear as the face ages.
He also said it was possible she may have had a face and neck lift or laser resurfacing surgery — a popular anti-aging treatment that works by destroying the first layer of skin, which allows fresh, youthful skin cells to grow underneath.
Her youthful look could also be down to anti-wrinkle injections like Botox around her eyes, Dr Solomos said, which relaxes the muscles in the face to smooth out lines and wrinkles.
He suggested she may have also had an eyelid lift, which is a cosmetic surgical procedure that removes excess skin, fat, and muscle from the eyelids to change the shape and get rid of any droopiness.
Dr Solomos also suggested the actress had ‘overdone’ her cheeks. He said they look a ‘bit too big’ for her proportions, with either fillers or fat transfer used to give the plumper look.

Over the years, fans and surgeons have speculated that Demi has spent at least £250,000 on various cosmetic surgery procedures.
She denied this was the case in 2009, insisting: ‘It’s completely false. I’ve never had it done.
‘But I would never judge those who have. I just don’t like the idea of having an operation to hold up the ageing process.
‘That said, the day when I start crying when I look at myself in the mirror might be the day when I’m less adamant about not having it done.
‘But for the moment I prefer to be a beautiful woman of my age than try desperately to look 30.’
