The View's Joy Behar has dispelled any misconceptions that she's been drunk on air - and has blamed the reason for her recent dizzy spells on Ozempic and Botox

The View’s Joy Behar has dispelled any misconceptions that she’s been drunk on air – and has blamed the reason for her recent dizzy spells on Ozempic and Botox.

Behar, 83, shared her symptoms during the July 6 broadcast of The View, as she revealed what she had done over the July Fourth holiday weekend.

‘I got acupuncture, because I’m dizzy. I walk and I’m dizzy. Has anyone noticed, I walk like I’m drunk? I’m not drinking, I don’t drink,’ Behar said.

Her co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin quipped that the star had to occasionally be ‘escorted’ to her seat on set.

‘I don’t know what it is, between the Botox, the Ozempic and the acupuncture, I’m, like, full of needles, more than a drug addict,’ Behar joked.

However, Behar admitted that she won’t know if the acupuncture worked for her dizziness until she has a few more sessions under her belt.

In February, the television host revealed that she had lost 25 pounds by taking a GLP-1 medication.

Behar briefly got candid on the topic during an episode of the daytime talk show.

The conversation began after guest host Savannah Chrisley brought up the stigma around weight loss medications such as Ozempic.

‘That’s the thing, people are made to feel so much shame around doing and it isn’t [shameful]. People do it for health related reasons. I personally did it because I was pre-diabetic,’ Chrisley said.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg added: ‘I did it because I was almost 300 pounds and I’m looking good now.’

‘I lost 25,’ Behar then shared, before expressing to the live audience: ‘We all did it!’

Behar also spoke about her looks as she ages during a May 2026 episode of the Behind the Table podcast.

During the episode, she denied undergoing a facelift, but admitted to other cosmetic injections.

‘Everybody thinks I’ve had a facelift. I have not had a facelift,’ Behar said.

‘I tell everybody I have Botox. I do work on myself. I had Botox. I had [filler] to fill in,’ she shared.

She also shared the secret behind her signature red bob, revealing that she gets keratin treatments and dyes her hair, along with highlights.

‘Everybody thinks that you look good because you’re naturally that good, you’re not,’ Behar said during the podcast episode.

‘I’m pushing it because … you have to eat healthy [as you age], which I don’t. They say you have to exercise, which I don’t. I never do it. I hate it. I’d rather go to the dentist.’

Behar’s recent confession about her dizzy spells comes just a few weeks after her former co-host Meghan McCain lashed out at the current roundtable after their interview with Vice President JD Vance.

The daughter of the late Senator John McCain was on the series from 2017 until 2021, serving as the token conservative on an otherwise liberal panel.

She often clashed bitterly with her co-hosts over politics on the air, and after her departure she denounced the show in her memoir as a ‘toxic work environment.’

Four of her fellow panelists from that time – Behar, Goldberg, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines – remain on the program to this day.

When Vance appeared on the show this Tuesday, he faced a torrent of fierce questions about topics like his relationship with Donald Trump, the Epstein Files, inflation and accusations the administration is ‘racist.’

McCain, 40, reacted by fuming on X: ‘My biggest takeaway from Vance on The View is honestly how s***ty and undisciplined the hosts STILL ARE.

‘After all these years they still get basics facts wrong, flub easy questions and can’t get through a segment without yelling at each other. Vance handled it all very well.’

Vance’s tense back-and-forth on The View came 11 months after McCain conducted a far friendlier interview with his wife Usha on her podcast Citizen McCain.
