There's Nothing Suspicious About It At All, You Know... – HotAir

It amazes me how easily we are gaslit about voter fraud. Or should I say, how easily Democrats are gaslit about voter fraud, since by now most Republicans are cynical enough to expect it.

I was struck on Tuesday night by how many Republicans confidently predicted that Spencer Pratt’s seemingly insurmountable lead over Nithya Raman in the Los Angeles mayor’s primary would evaporate as the votes were dumped in batches over the ensuing weeks, and their cynicism, it seems, will be rewarded.

California doesn’t have election days. It has election weeks that begin well before election day and extend well after election night. It will turn out, remarkably, that a substantial fraction of the “mail-in” vote wasn’t posted before election day, which makes you wonder why the ballots were withheld until the last minute, and why they come in in huge batches.

“That’s just the way it is,” we are told.

Gee, I wonder why, and why it became established as a pattern when California lawmakers dramatically changed the laws around voting.

Ignore, for the moment, the massive amounts of evidence we have of voter irregularities for which we have actual video evidence. Homeless people being paid to sign petitions with other people’s names and addresses, hundreds of ballots being sent to addresses with no people, voter rolls with dead people, illegal aliens, and untraceable homeless people that never get cleaned up.

Each of those people is sent a ballot. By law. They are collected by…somebody…voted, and delivered on demand.

🚨 STEVE HILTON JUST ERUPTED ON CALIFORNIA’S ELECTIONS TAKING WEEKS TO “COUNT”

“It’s just unbelievable! And of course, that’s why so many people don’t believe the results. But it just undermines confidence!”

“There’s no excuse for it, except this is the kind of thing I think you get with 16 years of one party rule, this corrupt Democrat machine in power. For so long, they just lose touch with the reality.”

“They don’t realize how ridiculous this all seems to normal people.”

It has to change. Hopefully SCOTUS steps in and invalidates “election month!” We need an election day in America again.

Let’s assume for the moment we didn’t have those reams of evidence, and just examine the situation from a purely public policy perspective. If the system really were designed to produce results that most people considered fair and legitimate, which should be a primary goal for any voting system in a functioning republic, would you design a system that introduces so much suspicion and doubt?

Seriously. Would anybody?

It’s not my opinion that this isn’t the case. It is objectively true, because we have hundreds of examples of voting systems in democratic republics designed to achieve outcomes that people willingly accept, even when they lose. None of them look remotely like California’s, and almost every one of them delivers final results within hours. They are transparent and secure, use counting methods with oversight by members of all the parties involved, and rely on paper ballots, minimizing absentee voting.

The overriding goal is to ensure that people accept the outcome as legitimate, because that is a baseline requirement for any form of government in a democratic republic. Without that, trust collapses, and the government is seen as illegitimate.

This is how Democrats stay in power in California

US Attorney Bill Essayli was kicked off the Elections Committee by Democrats for fighting for Voter ID

🚨 He exposed how the State’s website allows ANYONE to receive mail in ballots without a drivers license or social security. You simply check the box, ‘I don’t have one’ and are sent a ballot

“The Democrats in our legislature in Sacramento kicked me off my elections committee for fighting for you, the voters, and speaking up on voter id”

I’m on the website for the State of California to register to vote on the section where you put in your driver’s license, your last four of your social, there’s a box underneath each one. It says, I don’t have one. I don’t have one. And then you’re allowed to proceed to go to vote. What is the agenda here? Why do we let people register to vote and we don’t verify their immigration status? We need to instill confidence in our elections”

Here’s how Democrats rig elections with those mail in ballots

California moved aggressively toward universal mail-in ballots. Key steps included:

– 2016-2018: Laws like the Voter’s Choice Act expanded vote-by-mail options.

– 2020+ Permanent universal mail-in ballots, every registered voter gets a ballot mailed automatically

Ballot harvesting third parties collecting and delivering ballots was also legalized and expanded

The finishing blow: In 2024 SB 1174 was signed. It locked in the statewide no-ID standard

Californians argue that their system is superior because it ensures that all eligible voters can vote, and asks you to trust that no ineligible voters can, and that no votes appear out of thin air. Their argument that this is the case is, objectively, weak.

Actually, laughable. It requires a total rewrite of history, memory-holing centuries of voter fraud. I couldn’t find the audio of it, but I recall that Supreme Court justices laughed when someone mentioned election integrity in Chicago.

Dead voters in Chicago? How dare you mention it!

How are Democrats cheating in L.A.?

Let me show you…

There are 26 registered voters at this toilet in Los Angeles.

I’m not kidding. I have the voter records. See for yourself. The only thing here is a stinky port-a john inside an empty parking lot.

No homes. No mailboxes. No businesses. Yet TWENTY SIX ‘people’ are casting ballots here.

Straight-up voter fraud out in the open. This just a glimpse of what’s happening under Gavin Newsom.

This is why California desperately needs Voter ID — and we must pass the Save Act NOW.

The incentives for voter fraud are astronomical. Trillions of dollars are at stake. Not millions. Not billions. Trillions. Control over the US government is control over the largest pool of money ever. Control over California is control over the world’s fourth-largest economy. Control over Los Angeles is control over billions of dollars.

OF COURSE PEOPLE WOULD CHEAT to get control over these things. It is insane to imagine otherwise, so you create safeguards. If people will commit fraud to steal $10,000, imagine what they will do for billions.

Demanding ballot safeguards is so commonsense that anybody who challenges the idea is immediately suspect, and should be.

What’s most infuriating about the California voting system is that it is so OBVIOUSLY designed to make fraud easy, yet pointing that out makes you instantly suspect. If you imported this system into a third-world country, or a post-Soviet country, and showed it to outsiders, they would instantly call foul, and rightly so.

**0 votes for Pratt** in that specific batch of 24,834.

Prior to the batch, Pratt held ~28-30% support in counted votes. Under a binomial model with p≈0.28-0.30:

– Expected Pratt votes: ~6,950–7,450

– Standard deviation: ~70–72

– Observed: 0 → **~98 sigma** below the mean

Probability of exactly 0: (1-p)^n ≈ 10^(-3,200) to 10^(-3,800) — astronomically smaller than lottery odds or atoms in the universe.

This matches the pattern noted in CA elections where late mail-in batches skew heavily Democratic. Official sources confirm the zero count in the tranche; explanations range from sampling of specific mail-in pools to processing artifacts. Statistically, it’s an extreme outlier under random distribution assumptions.

California has gotten away with this, just as Medicaid fraudsters have gotten away with stealing hundreds of billions of dollars in this country, because they are banking on our being a high-trust society, where we assume the best of people.

Just as high social trust used to enable stores to put their wares on shelves and expect people to pay at the register as they exit, stores in Blue areas now need to put everything behind barriers because that trust is being abused and stores are being ransacked. Eventually, the system collapses entirely and the stores close, and liberals complain about “food deserts” and “pharmacy deserts.”

Those didn’t happen by accident. Liberal policies destroyed social trust in retail, and they are doing the same in voting.
