Savannah Guthrie has debuted a drastic new haircut, revealing a much-shorter look than her fans are used to.
The Today show host, 53, decided to chop off a big chunk of her locks on Thursday, opting for a bob that came just to her shoulders.
She showed off her new appearance online, posting a video alongside hairstylist Chris McMillan, who gave her the cut.
‘I did a thing with @MrChrisMcMillian,’ she wrote in a text overlay on the clip, adding in the caption, ‘Of course I did,’ along with the scissors emoji.
The video showed the TV star dressed in a black and white polka-dot button-down blouse and black skirt as she ran her hands through her highlighted brown locks, which were styled in loose waves.
Chris, who stood next to her in a white T-shirt, picked up pieces of hair, giving fans a glimpse into how short some of her layers were.
The two giggled together as the song Good As Hell by Lizzo played.
Chris shared more photos and videos of Savannah’s transformation on his own account, writing, ‘Most fun morning with @JennaAndFriends and everyone at the @TodayShow.

The hairstylist, who has over 408,000 followers on Instagram, also gave her co-host Jenna Bush Hager a trim while he was at the studio.
In addition, he cut the hair of two lucky fans of the show live on air.
Chris is well known for being the one who created Jennifer Aniston’s iconic hairstyle on the show Friends, which is now dubbed as The Rachel, based off her character’s name.
Savannah’s new ‘do comes days after she was left red-faced after her natural hair color was exposed by a fan live on the Today show.
The anchor was filming outside 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City when she came face-to-face with an old headshot taken in the ’90s.
Co-host Craig Melvin was first to spot the picture in the crowd, which had been brought from longtime fan, Carol.
Approaching the guest, he asked: ‘Where did you find this picture?’

Savannah awkwardly walked over to inspect the image, which had been snapped from her days at the local station KVOA in Tucson, Arizona, but was clearly less enthused.
In the picture, she could be seen sporting a jet-black coiffed bob as she reported on the Olympics.
‘Well, welcome!’ Savannah joked as she then attempted to hide the picture with her hands.
‘I don’t think we need to see that!’ she giggled to which Craig retorted, ‘I disagree.’
Explaining the hairdo, she said: ‘It was very ’90s.’
I think I tried the Rachel,’ she added, referring to the cut Chris made famous.
‘Thank you for coming,’ Savannah told Carol as she began to walk away. ‘Now we can burn that.’
Well, it looks like seeing the photo may have inspired her because now, just days later, she enlisted the man who created the style himself to freshen up her locks.
