Jennifer Lopez can truly do it all! The triple threat is amazing on stage when singing and dancing. However, there’s something fun and different when we get to see the star onscreen. Lucky for us, she has a new movie coming out on Netflix: The Mother. The film drops on the streaming service Friday, May 10, 2023.
The company has stayed pretty tight-lipped on what the action film is about. According to the synopsis, we know that a “deadly female assassin,” aka J.Lo, comes out of hiding to protect her 12-year-old daughter Zoe. She gave the girl up years ago, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about her safety. And she has to do that while running from dangerous men.

The young actress who plays J.Lo’s onscreen daughter is Lucy Paez. You may have seen her in Silencio and The Exorcism of Carmen Farias. Also joining the actresses onscreen are The Handmaid’s Tale actor Joseph Fiennes and Omari Hardwick from Power. We shared the full cast list below:
