The Trading Spouses star who went viral for her ‘dark-sided’ meltdown has resurfaced with a brand new look.
Marguerite Perrin, better known online as the ‘God Warrior,’ became one of reality TV’s first major memes in 2005 after her evangelical freakout aired on the now-defunct show.
In her now iconic episode, Perrin, a devout Christian and Louisiana native, returns home after spending the week with a new age family who believe in psychics, tarot cards and spirits.
Triggered by their ‘ungodly’ beliefs, Perrin flies into a rage in front of her bewildered family.
‘She’s not a Christian! She’s tampering in dark-sided stuff!’ Perrin screeches.
‘I’m a God warrior and I don’t want someone with tainted beliefs doing anything with my family!
‘Gargoyles, psychics. Everything’s ungodly!’ she continues screaming as she orders the Trading Spouses crew to leave her house.
The episode became an internet sensation when it aired in 2005 and led to Perrin appearing on The Jay Leno Show.

Now, 20 years after it aired, Perrin has resurfaced with a new look and a fresh lease on life.
The grandmother has embraced her viral fame and become a gay icon in the LGBTQ community.
She’s also drastically slimmed down after embarking on a weight loss journey.
Perrin’s style has drastically changed, with the southern star now rocking shoulder-length red hair and funky fashions.
During a recent appearance on drag queen Delta Work’s podcast, Perrin said that she had no regrets about her infamous meltdown.
‘It’s okay, it’s for ratings, it’s good. Had that all not happened like that I wouldn’t be talking to you,’ she said.
Perrin said that she’s currently in the ‘best’ phase of her life, despite suffering several tragedies since shooting to fame.
In 2007, she lost her eldest daughter Ashley in a car accident, and last year she lost her beloved husband Barry, who passed away at age 66.

‘I think I’m in my best season – mind, body, and spirit,’ she said.
‘I’ve used this year to be [about] self-love. My husband passed away a year ago. I’ve always been a mother, and in 2007 I lost my daughter in a car accident,’ she continued.
‘That just really broke me and changed me and had me navigate into the person that I am,’ she said.
Perrin said that she ‘reevaluated’ her life and decided to focus on her weight loss because it was something that she could accomplish on her own that she’d never done before.
‘I like me,’ she said. ‘I don’t know if there’s any other time in my life that I feel as good as I do today.’
In a March interview with Entertainment Weekly, Perrin said that she hates how her Trading Spouses meltdown has made people think that she’s a ‘hateful’ Christian.
‘That’s what I hate the most. I came off looking so judgmental and closed-minded,’ she said, before thanking the gay community for rallying behind her.
