Nearly 45 years after the movie Grease hit theaters - the beloved flick is set to get a prequel series that will delve into how the iconic clique known as the 'Pink Ladies' came to be

They ‘acted cool, looked cool, and were cool’ – and their on-screen antics, coupled with their iconic pink jackets – turned them into movie legends.

The Pink Ladies first rocketed into film fame almost 45 years ago when they made their debut in the hit 1978 movie Grease. And now, they are set to bewitch another generation with the release of a hotly-anticipated Grease prequel that will focus solely on the lives of the ladies who ‘ruled’ Rydell High.

Thanks to their matching pink jackets, tight bond, and fierce personalities, the Pink Ladies instantly became a central part of the franchise, but what ever happened to the women who starred as the original girl gang?

Some went on to launch major career careers for themselves – starring in a slew of other big movies and TV shows – well others struggled to land roles and eventually stepped out of the spotlight to pursue other endeavors.

Either way, they have all certainly changed a lot over the four-and-a-half decades since the movie came out, and now, the super cool friend group that they portrayed all those years ago are going to be back in limelight once again – this time, starring a whole new set of women.
