It’s one of the most competitive racing meets in the world – and the fashion stakes at Cheltenham Festival are just as high.
The four-day meet in Gloucestershire, which concludes today, has seen punters come dressed to the nines in fur-lined coats, fedoras – and of course, plenty of tweed.
Among the best-dressed list was, perhaps unsurprisingly, Jade Holland Cooper, who took time out from running her multi-million-pound luxury fashion empire, Holland Cooper, to observe the races.
Cooper looked every inch the style star on every occasion this week, dripping in floor-length tweed, dark-toned tartan, and statement hats.
Standout coats, elegant knee-high boots and excellent hats have become part of her image and the styling inspiration behind her brand’s country-urban aesthetic.
While Cooper’s brand resonates with the run-of-the-mill racing set, it also has a firm celebrity fan base, which ranges from Claudia Winkleman, Mary Berry, and Jodie Kidd to royalty; The Princess of Wales has worn (and re-worn) its double-breasted coat in a blue and green Black Watch tartan to multiple public events.
But it wasn’t just those with fashion expertise who exceeded all expectations this year; other attendees proved they know a trick or two when it comes to race day dressing, including a trio who stood out in flamboyant ensembles with bright block colours.
Others went full Peaky Blinders for the outing, including influencers Grace & Grace, who sported tweed co-ords, baker boy hats, and white shirts.

Tartan was also a big hit this year, with one reveller standing out from the crowd in a checkered pink and green ensemble, complete with a matching hat featuring feathers in matching tones.
She was far from the only one to sport feathers this year, and Carole Middleton also donned a similar look.
The mother of the Princess of Wales was the epitome of race day chic on the second day of the Cheltenham Festival.
She looked effortlessly elegant in a longline coat from Really Wild Clothing, brown suede boots from Russell and Bromley and a Hermès Birkin bag.
The pièce de résistance, though, was undoubtedly the 71-year-old’s £115 Suffolk Fedora in navy – an accessory that her daughter Kate also owns.
The timeless Suffolk Fedora is ideal for a multi-seasonal wardrobe and is hand-finished with a cluster of natural feathers fastened behind a leather band.
Made from soft wool felt, the hat – which Kate sported in Sandringham back in 2020 – is designed to be worn comfortably all day long.
It wasn’t just Carole upping the style points for the Royal Family, but also Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall.

Among her best outfits was the ensemble she sported on the event’s first day. The 44-year-old dressed for the March chill in a navy wool skirt suit by The Fold, a look she debuted in October last year.
She paired the outfit with knee-high navy suede boots from Fairfax & Favor and carried a brand-new peacock-green bag by Aspinal of London.
Adding a bold touch to her look, Zara wore a striking teal Juliette Botterill hat decorated with felt foliage, which complemented the emerald Really Wild pussybow blouse visible beneath her jacket.
She finished the ensemble with elegant Aspinal of London navy gloves, Hector Lion pearl earrings and a distinctive pair of quartz sunglasses by Monc, an accessory she has worn on several occasions before.
A familiar face at the Gloucestershire racecourse, Zara is known for championing British fashion labels and once again impressed with her polished race day look, created with the help of her longtime stylist, Annie Miall.
Yesterday, glamorous revellers battled the elements as they stepped out for the third day of Cheltenham amid wet and windy conditions.
Umbrellas proved to be the number one accessory of the day, as the heavens opened on the Gloucestershire racecourse.
Some braved the rain in bare legs, heeled boots and thigh-skimming outfits while trying desperately to keep their elaborate headgear dry.
But the windy weather proved to be too much for some racegoers, who struggled to control their brollies – or worse, lost hold of their hats.
Luckily, today’s event has much better weather conditions, allowing racegoers’ ensembles to truly shine.
Gemma Owen was among those with a standout outfit on Friday, with the former Love Island star and daughter of footballer Michael Owen, looking typically chic in an all-maroon outfit.
