A woman has had a true Truman show experience after realizing a TV show was filmed in her own apartment while she was watching it.
New York comedian Stef Dag was tuning into Couples Therapy, a Paramount+ reality series, when she noticed a few distinct similarities between the layout of the apartment on her screen and the one she was sitting in.
‘One of the couples from the show literally lived in my unit, in my building,’ she exclaimed in shock in the clip, which she posted to TikTok.
‘Okay, this is the apartment,’ Stef shared, showing her TV screen.
The content creator then pointed out the electrical box in her home.
‘Do we see that sticker?’ she asked, before moving over to the box in the apartment and pointing them out.
‘I mean….’
She then pointed out another indicator her apartment was part of the set, showing the bathroom, which had three distinct circular tile shapes near the shower when you opened the door.

‘That’s my bathroom,’ she says in shock.
Stef then moved on to the kitchen, walking over to the fridge to show it in the exact same position.
‘Don’t tell me we don’t live in The Truman Show,’ she laughed. ‘This is a glitch, there’s actually a glitch happening in the Matrix right now.’
The Truman Show is a 1998 film starring Jim Carrey as the titular protagonist whose life is being unknowingly filmed and aired as a reality TV show.
Users were divided in the comments, many saying it could have been a coincidence and may just look similar.
‘How many apartments in your building? They probably all look identical,’ one commenter pointed out.
Her video has been viewed more than three million times, with many users pointing out the sticker placement was too similar.
‘EVERYTHING IS A SIMULATION RUN RUN RUN,’ another joked.

‘Some apartments are built by the same company and all look identical. You could have two complexes in different states with the same design and set up. Kinda like hotels!’ a fourth assured.
