Zoey Deutch revealed her true feelings about her controversial former co-star James Franco during a twisted game of ‘F**k, Marry, Kill.’
A 2022 clip of Deutch on Chicks in The Office recently regained the attention of several netizens and shows the actress deciding which one of her former colleagues she would marry, have sex with, or kill off.
But it was Deutch’s reaction to her former Why Me? co-star that was particularly intriguing as the hosts narrowed he was the one she would want to do away with.
Deutch had the hosts guess which one of her co-stars she would kill off rather than explicitly say it herself, and insisted there was only one person that came to mind.
‘I got a kill for you. I definitely have a kill,’ Deutch, now 30, said before they guessed Franco, 47. ‘There’s only one kill that I would kill,’ she later said.
‘Out of people you have co-starred with?’ one of the hosts said.

The hosts attempted to guess which one of Deutch’s co-stars she would ‘kill’ during the 2022 interview
‘Yes. Only one,’ Deutch replied. ‘A lot of marry,’ she added.
After taking a look at her IMDb, host Mario Ciuffo landed on Franco.
‘Oh! James Franco!’ she said.
Tellingly, Deutch smiled but didn’t directly confirm it was him. ‘I love this water,’ she said instead, reaching for the water bottle before her and grinning.
A Reddit thread was created over the summer about the video, entitled ‘Zoey Deutch Isn’t A Fan Of Her Former Co-Star James Franco. Mary, F , & Kill.’
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Franco for comment on Deutch’s remarks.
Deutch has not exactly been discreet when it comes to her distaste for Franco.
During a 2018 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Deutch revealed she was unimpressed with his kissing style and claimed he had bad breath.
‘How do you describe James Franco’s kissing style,’ host Andy Cohen asked Deutch.
The actress paused for just a moment before wrinkling her lip, and saying dismissively, ‘Meh.’
She then offered a sly smile, prompting Andy to ask her, ‘Not great?’
‘No,’ Zoey replied in an offhand way.
When Andy pressed her to explain why it wasn’t so great — suggesting that it was lungy or ‘too much,’ she answered with a shake of the head and another ‘meh,’ confirming Andy’s suggestion that it was just ‘not memorable’.
She also said that James breath was ‘not good’ and seemed pretty satisfied to be sharing the information.

Zoey remained elusive until Franco’s name came up, and she suspiciously grew quiet

The pair starred in the 2016 film Why Him? and Deutch has made no secret of her distaste for his kissing skills in the movie
Of course, Cohen has a habit of asking stars on the show to dish on behind-the-scenes Hollywood drama and share stories about other celebrities. He’ll regularly ask guests to divulge their best and worst co-stars or talk about who is and isn’t a good kisser.
For the most part, the stars will be pretty diplomatic in their answers, either sticking to compliments and nice remarks or staying more vague and noncommittal.
It’s less common for his guests to say something less-than-nice — so Zoey’s readiness to bash James’ kissing skills seemed to indicate that she had even more unflattering things to say about him behind closed doors.
She has, in fact, made other comments about Franco on the record, particularly pertaining to charges of sexual misconduct against him.
In 2018, Franco was publicly accused by five women of sexual misconduct and exploitative behavior, including by students of the film school he founded.
Two of the women later sued the Spider Man star, saying he intimidated students at his now-defunct Studio 4 acting school into gratuitous and exploitative sexual situations.

Franco initially denied all of the allegations but settled for $2.2 million in July with the two women who sued him.
Deutch, however, appears to readily believe his accusers. She has retweeted several critical tweets about him, and made a public statement about his accusers.
‘I am so proud and in awe of the people who have come forward about [James Franco],’ she said, according to a 2018 New York Post article. ‘I know how hard it is, and the pros and the cons and the s**t that goes into making a decision like that.’
She also told Bustle in February 2018 how she felt about his denial.
‘I was so shocked that his public statement was that he believed and wanted to empower all the women that come out, but that the ones that are coming out about him are not true,’ she said.
