Jessica Gadsden was born on 29 November 1981, in South Carolina USA. Nothing is known about her parents, their names or vocations, or if she has any siblings; Jessica is somewhat private, though it is known that she is a well-educated person with three degrees, degree of Bachelor of Arts in journalism and mass communication from the University of South Carolina-Columbia, then a post-graduate MBA from Webster University, and finally a degree in biology, graduating from Bergen Community College in 2013.
Career
Jessica Gadsden used the power of her numerous qualifications to become a fitness instructor and a personal trainer, coaching bodybuilding, circuit training, gymnastics and pilates from 2012 certified by National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA), but which appears to have expired.

Meeting and marrying Charlamagne Tha God
Jessica Gadsden met Charlamagne Tha God at high school, and apparently dated and then lived together for years before eventually marrying in 2014 – Charlamagne Tha God later confessed that they married only when their elder daughter asked them why they had different surnames: ‘You have to show your kids love. That’s one of the reasons why I wanted to get married. Me and the mother of my kids have been together since high school. When you have your seven-year-old daughter asking why you and mommy don’t have the same last name, that affects you as a man. It made me think, ‘Well, why don’t we? What’s stopping me from taking that next step?’’ – said Charlamagne Tha God in one of his interviews.
Charlamagne Tha God, born Lenard McKelvey, was a “tough guy” as a teenager. Being only three years older than Jessica (Charlamagne was born on 29 June 1978), he got into trouble selling drugs, and was arrested twice for possession of cocaine and marijuana (with intent to distribute). Even his father, Larry Thomas McKelvey, admits it was hard to get him back to a normal life: ‘I had to bust him upside his head a lot of times to get him back on the right track. He got in with the wrong crowd and did a lot of crazy stuff’ Mr. McKelvey said in his interview for New York Times.
All jokes were aside when Charlamagne was imprisoned after being arrested for the third time – ‘I was in the backseat of a car and a shooting happened, and so all of us ended up going to jail for it’, confirms Charlamagne in his interview for The New York Times. His father decided not to pay for his son’s bail and to give him a life lesson, so Charlamagne Tha God stayed in prison for 41 days, then got in touch with his mother who paid for his bail. Mr. McKelvey then said: ‘That’s when he called my wife and asked her to please get him out of jail. That’s when I decided ‘Enough is enough. I’ll give him another chance.’’
Charlamagne seemed to get on the right path, studying in night school and getting an internship on a local radio program. His way to the top was a long one, until he met Wendy Williams, a radio host from New Jersey, who gave him a chance to be her co-host on her radio show in 2005. When things seemed settled, Charlamagne was suddenly laid off in 2008; Jessica was beside him during all those hard times supporting him.
In 2010 Charlamagne got another chance on a radio program along with Ed Lover, a morning host. And from that year everything changed in the life of Charlamagne and Jessica. Not only did Charlamagne became popular, but also Jessica gave birth to their first daughter. They married in 2014, and now have another daughter who is six years younger than her elder sister.
