Stockholm was awash with glitz and glamour this evening as the Swedish royal family hosted a gala dinner for some very special guests.
The royals are currently welcoming French President Emmanuel Macron, 46, and his wife, Brigitte, 70, to their nation on a state visit.
And to make their guests feel especially welcome, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia and the rest of the family donned all their finery to attend a banquet with the President and first lady at Stockholm Palace.
Also in attendance at the dinner were Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, and Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia.

The Palace halls glimmered with gems as the royals and special guests arrived for dinner.
Crown Princess Victoria, 46, donned a one-shoulder baroque-style ballgown complete with gold detailing as she walked arm-in-arm with her husband down the red carpet.
She accessorised with a stunning gold and diamond tiara, diamond earrings and metallic clutch bag.
King Carl Gustaf addressed guests at the gala dinner ahead of the lavish meal, while Brigitte appeared to read a French translation of the monarch’s speech

Meanwhile style queen Brigitte stuck to her chic roots with a structured, floor-length gown in a powder blue shade.
The frock was accessorised with sequins around the neckline and waist – and Brigitte wore diamond earrings to accessorise.
Princess Sofia, too, upped the style stakes as she arrived at the Palace with her husband Prince Carl Philip.
The royal donned a floor-length gown in a champagne shade, with mesh sleeves and a metallic body.
As the Swedish royal family went out of their way to make their French guests feel at home, they appeared to put some classic French dishes on the menu – including moules mariniere.
