On one hand, it’s pretty terrifying to learn that there are more wokesters in the medical profession than we realized. On the other hand, it’s a good thing that some of them have had no qualms about going on social media to out themselves, which gives concerned members of the community (and beyond) a chance to reach out to the appropriate higher-ups and authorities and urge them take action.
As RedState reported, decisive action is exactly what happened in the case of Malinda Cook, CRNA at VCU Medical Center, Richmond, who found herself on the receiving end of walking papers after a series of TikTok videos she put out, urging others in her field to do things that could medically harm or otherwise incapacitate immigration enforcement officers (and which potentially could have killed them), went viral, and sparked backlash.
“Following an investigation, the individual involved in the social media videos is no longer employed by VCU Health. In addition, VCU Health has fulfilled its reporting requirements under Virginia state law,” they wrote in a statement posted to social media on Tuesday.

Yikes: Anti-ICE Sentiment Alleged After ‘Nasty’ Incident Involving an NY Hospital and NYPD Detectives
In Florida, Attorney General James Uthmeier (R) has been on the warpath over reports of two nurses in the Sunshine State who have reportedly been wearing their anti-ICE, anti-MAGA creds like a badge of honor.
One of them, Erik Martindale, is no longer a registered nurse in Florida after he was put on blast by Uthmeier as well as the Libs of TikTok X account over something Martindale allegedly posted on Facebook indicating that he would not give anesthesia to any “MAGA” surgery patient:
Meet Erik Martindale, a registered Florida nurse.
He says he won’t give anesthesia for Republicans undergoing surgery and believes that’s his right and is ethical.
He needs to be fired and stripped of his license immediately. @FLNursingBoard pic.twitter.com/CP3dWHH1CX

I say “allegedly” because Martindale claimed at one point that his account had been hacked. But records show that he has voluntarily surrendered his medical license to be able to practice in Florida:
In a since-deleted post on social media, Martindale said, “I will not perform anesthesia for any surgeries or procedures for MAGA. It is my right, it is my ethical oath, and I stand behind my education. I own all of my businesses and I can refuse anyone!”
Martindale later said that his Facebook account was hacked.
A high-ranking state official familiar with the situation confirmed that Martindale relinquished his license, adding he broke the compact agreement by moving out of state to Indiana without notifying the Florida Board of Nursing.
Following the news, Uthmeier shared an update on X.
“Effective today, Erik Martindale is no longer a registered nurse in Florida,” he wrote. “Healthcare is not contingent on political beliefs, and we have zero tolerance for partisans who put politics above their ethical duty to treat patients with the respect and dignity they deserve.”
Martindale’s seemingly abrupt departure follows the case of another Florida nurse, Boca Raton labor and delivery registered nurse Lexie Lawler, who sickeningly expressed a desire for Trump White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt to have serious health complications after her baby was born:
CBS12 confirmed that Lawler was fired from Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital after the TikTok video drew widespread attention. According to CBS12, the hospital said her explicit remarks violated its standards of compassionate and unbiased patient care.
In the video, Lawler said it “gives [her] great joy” to wish Leavitt — who is currently expecting a child — a fourth-degree tear, the most severe obstetric injury. The clip sparked immediate outrage and prompted Uthmeier to call her comments “vile,” arguing online that she “doesn’t belong anywhere near patients” and urging the Florida Board of Nursing to revoke her license immediately.
Uthmeier, who previously stated that firing Lawler was “not good enough,” shared an update on her as well on X. Language warning on the video that follows:
Effective today, Lexie Lawler is no longer allowed to practice nursing in Florida.
Making statements that wish pain and suffering on anyone, when those statements are directly related to one’s practice, is an ethical red line we should not cross. I’m proud of @FLSurgeonGen for… https://t.co/bil0VltF9Y

🚨 BREAKING: Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo JUST REVOKED the nursing license of labor and delivery nurse Lexie Lawler for saying about Karoline Leavitt’s coming child — “I hope you f*cking rip from bow to stern and never sh*t normally again, you c*nt.”

This takes me back to the COVID-era rant Jimmy Kimmel did where he said unvaccinated people who went to ERs should be refused treatment and left to die in the event there was a bed shortage.
“Dr. Fauci said if hospitals get any more overcrowded, they’re going to have to make some very tough choices about who gets an ICU bed,” Kimmel stated in the September 2021 segment. “That choice doesn’t seem so tough to me. Vaccinated person having a heart attack? Yes, come right in, we’ll take care of you. Unvaccinated guy who gobbled horse goo? Rest in peace, wheezy.” The audience enthusiastically applauded.
Honestly, how do these people sleep at night? This is just depraved.
