Black Lightning: About the Series
The famous Salim Akil developed this American superhero drama television series in the year 2018 on the 16th of January. The series was premiered on The CW. The series is based on characters of the same name. And that series was crafted by Tony Isabella and Trevor Von Eeden, which was premiered on DC Comics.
In May 2017, The television network CW ordered to release Black Lightning Series. And the first season was premiered on 16th January 2018. The total number of episodes in the first series was 13. And the second season was premiered on 9th October 2018, and it consisted of 16 episodes.

In January 2019, the CW channel announced that the third season will be coming soon. And on 6th October 2019, the same year, the third season was premiered having 16 episodes. And in January 2020, it was announced that Black Lightning Season 4 will be coming soon, and on 8th February 2021, the last season and the final season of the series were premiered.
Let’s Talk About The Plot
As the series starts, we see Jefferson Pierce as the principal of Garfield High School in the city of Freeland, Georgia. He was a superhero nine years ago and was famous as Black Lightning. But he took retirement from that position. When one day, “The 100”, the criminal gang of Freeland started threatening the people of the city, he came back as Black Lightning in order to protect his city.
The Criminal Gang leader was Tobias Whale. One day Jefferson’s daughters Anissa and Jennifer were kidnapped by “The 100” gang and this made the Black Lightning come back. After all these incidents Anissa started attaining her power and she turned out as Thunder. The same happened with Jennifer, she gained electrical abilities back.
Jennifer is trying and working to improve her power. Tobias is involved in translating the contents of the Proctor’s briefcase that was captured by him the first season. Bill Henderson, the Freeland police department in charge came to know about Anissa and Jennifer’s superpower abilities. And he allowed to help them and continue the fight against “The 100” gang.
After Jennifer’s boyfriend Khalil’s death, she wants to help her father, and for that, she turns herself into lightning. And both of them killed Tobias, who is later confined in Pit.
In the fourth season of Black Lightning, Jefferson is no more a Black Lightning. The criminal gang “The 100” is in a turf war in Kobra Cartel. Tobias can be seen working as a philanthropist. But after the death of Mayor Bank, Tobias again started troubling Jefferson, his family, and his allies.

The four-season of the series Black Lightning was quite popular among the fans. The first season was aired on 16th January 2018 and it lasted till 17th April 2018. The second season took 6 months to complete, it was aired on 9th October 2018 and the episodes were released on 18th March 2019.
The first episode of the third season was aired on 7th October 2019, and it took 6 months to complete whose last episode was aired on 9th March 2020. The fourth season was aired on 8th February 2021 and the last episode was aired on 24th May 2021.
