Black Widow Ending & Post Credits Scene Explained!
In the end, Black Widow began and ended exactly where it had always been predicted: in the wake of the climax of the Civil War and before the re-emergence of the secret Avengers, respectively.
But timelines are no longer linear things in the MCU, and Natasha’s story follows major events in her early life in the 1990s and two decades later in Budapest.
It may not have taken a look at what happened in the Red Room for her, but it almost feels like a triumphant, defiant rejection of the idea that she was where it originated.
More important than who Natasha is, is not what happened in that room but what happened around her. Nate’s role in the plan is to obtain details from Drakov about the other widows and then possibly kill him.
But this is not so easy. Melina explains to Nat that she has a pheromone that, once inside, prevents people from harming her. Holding one’s breath is not enough, the only way for Natasha to eliminate the effect is to isolate the nerve that the pheromone effects.
She can’t do it beforehand because it’s important that Drakov believes he’s winning. Natasha can’t hurt him, but instead, she induces him to hit her in the face in the hope that he can “break her nerves” for him, while not retributing.
Can do Once Drakov reveals his widow’s network to him and shows him how he accesses the files, Nat smashes his face into his desk, smashing it himself as he does so. Wasn’t strong enough to do that.
The film ends with a post-credits scene that takes place after Avengers: Endgame. At Natasha’s grave, Yelena is approached by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine,
Who has a photograph of Hawkeye, and asks if Yelena would seek revenge on the person responsible for Natasha’s death. This could mean that a Black Widow 2 movie will pick up after Avengers: Endgame.
