Has the American regime turned our nation into a state of no borders? In a recent court-delivered testimony, Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz alleged that the Biden administration has done essentially nothing to ease the crisis of surging illegal immigration at the U.S. border. According to the chief, there are “no consequences” for those committing the crime.

Ortiz’s remarks came from a recorded deposition from July 28 obtained by Fox News. According to Fox, the clip is part of the discovery in a lawsuit by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody against the Department of Homeland Security as well as other border agencies.

The long-time law enforcement officer told attorneys in Florida that the illegal immigration will only continue to surge as long as they face zero “consequences” for their actions.

“In my experience, we have seen increases when there are no consequences,” Ortiz said during the deposition.

“So, if migrant populations believe that they’re going … there are not going to be consequences, more of them will come to the border. Is that what you’re saying?” asked the attorney.

“There is an assumption that if migrant populations are told that there is a potential that they may be released, that, yes, you can see increases,” responded Ortiz.

The attorney pressed further: “So, it will increase at an exponential rate. Is that what is being suggested here?”

“Well, I do think it will increase, yeah,” answered Ortiz.

The attorney also questioned Ortiz on a spring 2021 memo revealing the Biden administration immigration policies, referred to as the “document.”

“Since President Biden was elected, does this document indicate that aliens illegally entering the United States perceive that they will be able to enter and remain in the United States?” asked the attorney.

“Yes,” Ortiz answered while under oath.

This “document” from the spring memo has been cited in Moody’s lawsuit as one of the numerous bits of evidence that Biden and his administration are failing to uphold their duty to secure and protect the United States border.

The situation at the southern border remains dire — it was just last Thursday when two babies were left by smuggles to die near the Arizona-Mexico border, according to the New York Post. One of the babies, only 4 months old, was found face down and unresponsive at the scene. Both children have thankfully received treatment and have been discharged since.
