A woman has been found dead with serious head injuries on Christmas Day with homicide detectives launching an investigation.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was found in Cable Beach in Broome, Western Australia, at about 6pm on Monday.
She was rushed to hospital for treatment but later died.

A man, also aged in his 30s, is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
Broome detectives and members of the homicide squad are investigating.
Cable Beach is known for its 22km stretch of pristine white sand and clear water which visitors can opt to experience by camel-back.
