Chemical castration laws in Kazakhstan are being toughened with those committing ‘lesser sexual offences’ set to face injections before being released from jail.
Paedophiles in the central Asian nation who have committed rape and violent sexual assault causing severe injury already face ‘life-means-life’ jail sentences to completely prevent the threat of reoffending.
Some have undergone chemical castration in jail on court orders.
But now Kazakhstan is also toughening laws for those committing ‘lesser’ sexual offences against children.
Six months before their release from prison, these paedophiles will be forced to start undergoing chemical castration injections.
These will regularly continue after their release, which can only happen if they pass an ‘assessment’ of their ‘mental state’.
Potentially ‘lifelong’ supervision has also been proposed for paedophiles, and curfews can be imposed as well as bans on going into or near schools.
‘We can also restrict leaving the house at night,’ said Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Lepekha.

‘Previously, supervision lasted eight years. Now, it is planned to be significantly extended.
‘We can forbid an individual from being near, for example, schools or other children’s educational institutions.’
Violation of restrictions or refusing to undergo continuing chemical castration could lead to a return to jail under the draft law.
Dozens of brutal child sex offenders have been forcibly injected in recent years in Kazakhstan.
One was paedophile Saidolim Gayibnazarov, 48, who raped and killed five-year-old girl Erkezhan Nurmakhan and was sentenced to chemical castration during his jail sentence.
Another Berik Zholdasov was castrated after raping his eight-year-old stepdaughter, causing her so much physical damage that doctors had to remove her womb.
He had threatened to kill her if she told her mother.
A judge sentenced him to 25 years in a maximum security jail and ordered him to undergo ‘forcible chemical castration’.
