Diddy’s staggering hotel damage bill after baby oil freak off turned suite into sex swamp: Live updates

Diddy was once charged $46,000 for damage to a penthouse suite, the jury was told on Tuesday.

The staggering bill was levied by the InterContinental in Times Square, New York, in October 2012 for ‘loss / penthouse damage’ – apparently from baby oil during freak offs.

The bill was paid by Diddy’s American Express credit card which racked up an enormous $944,000 in charges for the month which had to be paid off from several bank accounts.

The bank receipts and invoices were read out to the jury by DeLeassa Penland, a special agent with the US Attorney’s office.

Judge Arun Subramanian has dismissed the jury on Tuesday and told them to return to the courtroom tomorrow at 9am EST.

Prosecutors have said they will conclude presenting their case tomorrow.

They will call Brendan Paul to the stand, who worked for Diddy when his homes were raided in March, 2024.

At the time Paul was arrested for drug posession but took a plea deal.

Diddy’s attorney Teny Geragos has concluded her cross-examination of pecial agent with the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York DeLeassa Penland.

Prosecutors will conduct a brief redirect interrogation before Penland leaves the stand.

Geragos focused her questioning on text messages where Cassie appears enthusiastic about freak offs.

Every day, the rapper, 55, who is currently standing trial in New York on sex trafficking charges, is supported at court by his loyal mother Janice.

Even most of his seven children attended the opening statements as a group, with some of his sons in regular attendance.

Yet if there is one man who haunts the trial, it is his late father, Melvin Combs – who may even explain how Diddy came to land in such hot water.

Kanye West stunned the ongoing trial for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs as he showed up to back the disgraced rap mogul, hugging his son in a show of support Friday.

West caused chaos at the trial in Manhattan on Friday as he surprised crowds outside the courthouse.

The artist, who now performs by the name Ye, wore an all-white denim outfit to the trial.

The judge said he believed someone who was at the sealed court hearing violated his secrecy order.

In the future, Subramanian said, he would hold prosecutor Maurene Comey and lead defense attorney Marc Agnifilo responsible for any slipups, and any violations of his orders could result in criminal contempt penalties ‘at the most extreme level.’

‘This is the only warning I will give,’ he said.

Diddy’s lawyers on Tuesday showed the jury various texts from Cassie Ventura about planning Freak Offs which make it seem like she’s into them.

It’s a rehash of her cross examination, where she said that she never wanted to have sex with male escorts but just wanted to keep Diddy happy.

On Monday the jury was shown multiple text message exchanges that showed Diddy’s employees appearing to prepare all the requirements for the freak offs.

In one conversation from March, 2016, the mogul and his chief of staff Kristina Khorram discuss the preparations.

Khorram and another assistant also discussed getting $4,000 in cash to a hotel room.

‘Heads up, he’s probably about to do wild king tonight,’ Khorram texted one Diddy assistant.

The assistant replied: ‘S**t need to reup on baby oil and s**t.’

Jurors looked somber as they were shown around 18 minutes of Freak Off videos to a hushed courtroom on Tuesday.

The panel put on headphones and watched the footage on the monitors in front of them amid silence in court. Diddy, his lawyers and the prosecution listened in on headphones.The videos were not shown to the public.

The 10 clips ranged from around 20 seconds to five minutes long.The jurors had seen clips from the same Freak Offs the day before but they were only 20 or 30 seconds long and totaled two minutes.

A black male juror was seen lifting his eyebrows up and looking away before taking a swig of water.

A black female juror furrowed her brow and put her hand by her face.

Others stared blankly as they watched the footage of Cassandra Ventura with male escorts from October 13th 2012 and an unspecified date in December 2014.

As the jurors filed out for lunch, a white male juror was seen shaking his head in the courtroom, which was hushed as they walked out in silence.Diddy nodded as the audio was played and occasionally looked towards the jury.

Although Diddy has often endorsed Democrats throughout the years, including Joe Biden in 2020, he has been photographed with members across the political spectrum.

They are: Quincy, 33, Justin, 30, Christian ‘King’, 27, Chance, 18, twins D’Lila and Jessie, 18, and Love Sean, two.

Diddy’s lawyers on Thursday morning spoke about an event in January 2024 involving Jane in a hotel room in Vegas and how it was important that they be able to use some names that they are prohibited from doing by the anonymity order around the witness.

Doing so would allow members of the public to ‘come forward’ if they had information that might help the case. Agnifilo said that using the names was ‘important’.

Prosecutor Maurene Comey said that doing so would be a ‘pretext to harass and intimidate this witness’ and that enough had been revealed already so that anyone who had information about that event could.

The judge agreed and said he wouldn’t modify the order to allow the names from this episode to be used. The judge said this was a ‘collateral issue’ and not related to the sex trafficking charges.

Once she was back on the stand, Jane explained that in January, 2024, she traveled to Vegas with a famous rapper and his girlfriend on a private plane.

Jane said she saw Anton, one of the male escorts, having sex with someone while the rapper and his girlfriend watched.

Diddy’s lawyer said Diddy and the unnamed rapper ‘were really close to one another’ and he is ‘at the top of the music industry.’

Jane said she was aware Anton had a relationship with the rapper and often traveled with the male escort.

Jane said she flirted with the rapper and flashed her breasts at the party and claimed the rapper said he had always had a crush on her.

An alternate juror joined the jury on Monday following the dismissal of juror #6 over statements about his place of residency.

The new juror is a white male who walked into court with a book by author David Sedaris under his arm.

The juror, 57, lives in Westchester with his wife and has two kids. He works as a manufacturing architect.

He likes a variety of music but said that his children recently got him into country.

Diddy’s lawyers vigorously fought to keep juror #6, a 41-year-old black man who said he loved 90s hip-hop and reggeaton.

The court saw a 2012 text conversation between Cassie and Garren, founder of escort agency 4 Cowboys for Angels in 2012.

In the messages, Cassie voiced concern about the TV show based on Cowboys 4 Angels called Gigolos, which ran from 2011 to 2016.

Cassie said: ‘We know you guys are shooting the show out there.’

Garren replied: ‘We wrapped the show about a month ago. No filming and the guys don’t follow (people) around. It’s reality TV so it’s all fake’.

Garren added he is ‘very strict with the men for many of my private clients.’

From his wardrobe to his courtroom props and even interactions with witnesses and jurors, the 55-year-old is leaving nothing off the table when it comes to fighting for his freedom.

‘I spent most of my professional career around courtrooms as a consultant for trial attorneys, instructing them, not on the legal aspects of cases, but on the human elements, specifically how jurors responded to their arguments,’ Dr Phil writes.

‘At this moment in the Combs trial – with the prosecution expected to wrap up its arguments in the coming days – I question whether the jury has been presented with enough evidence to reasonably expect them to find a legal basis to convict.

‘And for that reason, I predict the judge may be tempted to essentially throw the case out of court.’

Jurors were struggling to stay awake Tuesday as the summary sheets of texts and calls were being read out.

One male juror began yawning at 9.30am and then was seen rubbing his eyes.

Another male juror yawned while a third man was opening his eyes widely to try and stay sharp.

The charts being used by summary witnesses are intended to support the prosecution’s claims and make it easy for the jury to understand the timeline of events.

They combine texts, calls and hotel and flight records to show Cassie Ventura and Diddy speaking to escorts for freak offs and other incidents.

Among the other records shown to the jury were hotel records for the Four Seasons in Los Angeles showing a bill for $7,192 for a two-night stay.

Flight records showed Clayton Howard, the escort known as ‘Dave’ being flown in by Diddy from New York to Los Angeles at the same time.

The records showed another $495 being added to the charges for a second room, which the prosecution appear to be suggesting was used for a Freak Off.

The jury was shown a chart of text messages and calls made in March 2016 in the wake of Diddy beating his ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles.

The incident in a hotel corridor was captured on surveillance footage and sparked panic in Diddy’s camp that the footage could be released – he later bribed a security guard with $100,000 for the only copy, the jury has been told.

The chart showed that in the hour or so after the incident, Diddy called Ventura about 20 times.

During one seven minute period alone, he called her eight times: none of the calls were picked up.

Ventura texted Diddy pictures of her fat lip and messaged him that she was about to attend the premiere of a film she starred in, calling it the ‘biggest thing in my life’.

But now she had a fat lip and Ventura said that Diddy was ‘sick for thinking it’s OK to do what you’ve done’.

Diddy’s relentless calls and texts continued, telling Ventura repeatedly: ‘Call me now’.

Another message said: ‘Call me now, the cops are here’.

In reality, security guards at the hotel did not call the police and neither did Ventura, the jury has been told.

In another message Diddy said: ‘You gunna abandon me all alone?

He also told her: ‘If you don’t pick up now, you’ll never hear my voice again’.

Even though the police had not been called, Diddy told Ventura in another message: ‘I’m about to be arrested’.

TMZ reported Monday that the judge in Diddy’s trial is concerned about another juror – after juror #6 was dismissed this morning.

Judge Arun Subramanian is worried about a juror talking about the case outside of court.

The juror in question apparently alerted the court on Friday to a mystery text from a number he did not recognize asking if he was juror #6.

The juror said he did not recognize the number, but the judge was still concerned he might be discussing the trial outside of the jury.

Diddy’s wildest sexual fantasy involved a twisted NBA roleplay – casting himself as Michael Jordan, his ex-girlfriend as Kobe Bryant and the male escort she regularly slept with as Shaquille O’Neal – the ex testified on day two of the fifth week in the disgraced rap mogul’s sex trafficking trial.

‘Jane’, who testified under a pseudonym, said the hip hop mogul’s obsession with ‘cuckold’ scenarios may have been a way to live out his bisexual fantasties without physically engaging with men – because he was ‘too ashamed’ to do so openly.

Jane described the ‘Freak Offs’ she attended during their relationship as filled with extravagant sexual roleplay where participants gave each other nicknames inspired by legendary basketball stars.

On Tuesday the jury was shown a December 2015 bill from the L’Ermitage hotel in Beverly Hills for ‘linen damage / deep clean’.

The court has previously heard that Diddy left hotel rooms in such a state after freak offs that he was charged extra because of the amount of baby oil he used.

The Beverly Hills Hotel charged Diddy $500 in February 2013 for damage to the room and the carpet.

Credit card receipts from July 2010 showed him spending $740 on Diptyque candles which he used in freak offs and $435 on alcohol.

During September 2014, another high spending month, Diddy ran up a total of $307,00, the jury was told.

The hip hop mogul, 55, made the motion on Tuesday after seeing the clips of Cassandra Ventura having sex with male escorts while he watched.

Diddy had asked to see the videos before testimony began for the day, but when it got to 9am, the start time, he hadn’t come out yet.

In one text exchange in January, 2013, Diddy asked Cassie: ‘Wanna celebrate Christmas and have a freak off tomorrow or Friday?’

Cassie then contacted an escort service and personally messaged several escorts to set up staggered arrivals on January 11 and January 12.

Cassie previously told the jury that arranging the freak offs became her main job during her relatipnship with Diddy.

Diddy does not seem set to testify in his trial after his lawyers said their defence case would last two to five days.

If Diddy was testifying then it would likely take weeks as he would be on the stand for several days.

However there has been no public announcement yet and Diddy may later choose to testify. He can change his mind up to the very last minute.

In 2023, Kristina Khorram texted Diddy to ‘make sure’ that his staff were ‘not doing anything dumb’ like stopping paying the $10,000 a month rent on his ex Jane’s Los Angeles home.

During Jane’s testimony she said that having Diddy pay her rent made her feel like she had to do the Freak Offs or she would lose her home.

In a message to one of Diddy’s other assistants, Khorram tried to figure out how hard her boss was partying.

She wrote: ‘Wild King mode active, or Gucci bag active?’

‘Wild King’ appears to be a reference to ‘King Nights’, another name for Freak Offs. The Gucci bag appeared to refer to Diddy’s personal pouch in which he kept drugs like ketamine, MDMA and cocaine.

The assistant replied: ‘In between the two’.

After six weeks of witnesses and evidence, prosecutors said they plan to rest on Wednesday. After that, Diddy’s lawyers said they’ll start calling witnesses.

Diddy’s lawyers have said it will take them two to five days to present their case.

Diddy had to watch the freak off clips in a side room on Tuesday as they are sealed and his monitor in court is viewable by the public.

The jury saw the videos yesterday and a black female juror winced as she saw them, as another shifted uncomfortably in her chair.

The judge in the Diddy trial threatened to prosecute lawyers for both sides over an article which revealed sealed material about a juror.

Judge Arun Subramanian said that ‘someone’s lying’ after prosecutors and the defence denied being the source of the article, which was not identified.

The judge appeared angry that information about the juror which was heard on Friday during a sealed proceeding had been leaked.

The judge said the ‘courtroom was sealed, the transcript was sealed’ and that it must have come from one of the parties.

Judge Subramanian called it a ‘flagrant violation’ of his orders and warned lawyers for both sides there will be ‘no passing the buck here’.

‘The buck stops here’, the judge said, adding that the lead lawyers for each side will face consequences for another breach.

For the defence that is Marc Agnifilo. For the prosecution that is Assistant US Attorney Maureen Comey, the daughter of former FBI director James Comey.

Judge Subramanian said the case had to be tried based on the evidence and not ‘in the media’.

He warned that any further leaks of sealed material will result in an ‘inquiry, testimony under oath, delivery of (electronic) devices to this court’ and possible ‘criminal or civil sanctions’.

Special agent DeLeassa Penland, with the US Attorney’s Office will continue her testimony as a summary witness Tuesday morning.

She will talk about various records involving Diddy’s traveling and finances.

Diddy’s former assistant Brendan Paul, 25, is the next witness on the prosecution’s list as they prepare to rest their case.

Paul accepted a plea deal after he was arrested at Opa-Locka Airport in Miami on March 25, 2024, and was initially hit with two felony drug possession charges.

Officials at the time said they had found suspected cocaine and marijuana laced-candy in his luggage.

Paul was referred to as Diddy’s ‘drug mule’ in a $30 million lawsuit Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones filed against Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs.

The man’s testimony is expected after the jury was shown footage from one of Diddy’s infamous freak offs.

Prosecutors played portions of three sex videos recovered from a Combs-linked account on a cellphone that his former longtime girlfriend Cassie provided to authorities, giving jurors a close-up view of the encounters they’ve heard about repeatedly since testimony began May 12.
