DOJ Gives Final Conclusion on Jeffrey Epstein's 'Client List,' Releases Surveillance Video – RedState

It looks like the Department of Justice is ready to close the door on any further investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. According to a new report sharing the government’s findings, the now-deceased sex trafficker had no “client list” and never blackmailed any “powerful figures.”

Further, the DOJ concluded that Epstein committed suicide, something that FBI Director Kash Patel had already stated publicly in months past. A surveillance video was also released on Sunday night showing no one entering or exiting his jail cell over a 10-hour period before he was discovered dead.

President Trump’s Justice Department and FBI have concluded they have no evidence that convicted sex offender and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein blackmailed powerful figures, kept a “client list” or was murdered, according to a memo detailing the findings obtained by Axios.

  • The administration is releasing a video — in both raw and “enhanced” versions — that it says indicates no one entered the area of the Manhattan prison where Epstein was held the night he died in 2019.
  • The video supports a medical examiner’s finding that Epstein committed suicide, the two-page memo claims.

I can buy that he killed himself. Epstein was a disgusting human being and a coward who took advantage of young girls. He knew he was cooked and would probably spend the rest of his life in prison. I’m sure his fellow inmates weren’t exactly fans of pedophiles either. So it’s reasonable to conclude that he did commit suicide in the absence of evidence disproving that.

I’m not really sure how invested most people were in the theory that he was murdered. I certainly told my fair share of “Esptein didn’t kill himself” jokes, but it wasn’t something I saw as vital to proving the broader reality surrounding his crimes. With that said, I think the whole “client list” argument misses the point. Did Epstein have a literal list of powerful politicians, business leaders, and monarchs he provided women and girls to? That seems unlikely because that would be really stupid and incriminating.

But did Epstein have “clients” in the broader sense? That seems likely unless we are to believe he was trafficking women to no one, and everyone who visited his depraved island only went there for the margaritas. Perhaps the DOJ simply doesn’t have enough evidence to pursue anyone else, but it should be noted that some of Epstein’s victims have provided names of other people who allegedly abused them. In short, it still feels improbable that no one else but Ghislaine Maxwell took part in the scheme.

This is likely the last we’ll hear of this. If the Trump administration is ready to put this to bed, then there’s no one left to dig any deeper, to the extent that there’s anything left to even dig into. Regardless, I suspect these conclusions aren’t going to be very convincing for a lot of people out there.
