The world’s richest man, Elon Musk, has unleashed a brutal salvo of posts against President Donald Trump’s ‘evil’ former advisor Steve Bannono ver his connections to Jeffrey Epstein. ‘Bannon is evil,’ Musk posted Monday on X in a stream of attacks the Tesla executive has unfurled against Trump’s former adviser. ‘That’s a real selfie pic with Bannon & Epstein,’ Musk posted alongside a photo of the two men in the financier government file. ‘Bannon was laundering money for evil people,’ the entrepreneur wrote in another attack against the political advisor. ‘Bannon’s list of crimes is very long.’

Bannon, a notorious Republican political advisor who previously worked with Trump on his 2016 campaign, has recently caught flak for his lengthy correspondence with Epstein, revealed in the Department of Justice’s and House Oversight Committee’s latest document dump. Musk also corresponded with the financier before Epstein’s death, government files show. Before he was arrested on sexual trafficking charges in 2019, Epstein was working with Bannon to improve his public persona, which had soured after the financier was convicted of prostitution with a minor in 2008. Part of that work was to create a glowing documentary on Epstein to rescue the late financier’s tarnished reputation. Newly uncovered Epstein documents highlight the hundreds of texts, emails and other correspondence the two shared up until Epstein’s July 2019 arrest.
Silence on the airwaves
The two were also messaging back and forth about a meeting in July 2019 before Epstein abruptly canceled it and was apprehended by law enforcement later that day. The political advisor and Musk have long traded barbs online, but Bannon, who hosts a daily show called Bannon’s WarRoom, has remained largely quiet about the latest round of Epstein. Bannon has accused Musk, born in South Africa, of being an anti-American ‘globalist’ and a ‘parasitic illegal immigrant’ last year. During the height of Musk and Trump’s headline-grabbing feud over the summer, Bannon repeatedly bashed the billionaire.
‘President Trump empowered him more than anyone’s ever been empowered, and people like me said you’re making a mistake,’ Bannon said of Musk in June 2025. ‘This is a bad guy. He’s going to turn on us. He’s also totally incompetent.’ Musk has, in turn, gone scorched earth on Bannon, posting about the political advisor over half a dozen times in the past 48 hours. The high-profile fight has forced some figures in the president’s orbit to choose sides.
‘Funny how Bannon’s fellow antisemites and isolationists have not demanded that HE come clean about his well-established, video-taped relationship with Epstein,’ conservative commentator Mark Levin wrote on Monday. ‘[Elon Musk] certainly turned out to be right about Steve Bannon,’ former Trump advisor Roger Stone wrote on X. ‘No one has done more for free speech rights, and the first amendment then [Musk].’
