What’s Going On With Kandi & Todd’s Divorce?
Days after the divorce announcement, Kandi told PEOPLE that she and Todd Tucker were going to spend Thanksgiving together. At the time, she gave the same reason: for the kids. “…We’re trying to make this transition as smooth as it could possibly be for our kids. That is our main concern. We are keeping it very friendly,” she said. Also, during an Amazon Live, she admitted to going through it amid the divorce, feeling up and down.
A day before Thanksgiving, a new development in Kandi and Todd Tucker’s separation turned heads in his direction. He had filed a petition seeking primary custody of their kids. He cited Kandi’s out-of-state work, saying Ace and Blaze primarily live with him while she’s away. If she and him can’t reach an agreement, Tucker reportedly shared his intent to seek “primary physical custody, joint legal custody, and final decision-making authority.” He also noted that he signed their prenup shortly before getting married, and didn’t have a lawyer. If the court finds that the prenup isn’t valid, Todd Tucker wants alimony from his soon-to-be wife.
Days later, Kandi clapped back with an amended divorce petition. She said the prenup is enforceable, noting that Bravo TV cameras captured the signing and Todd saying he was “good” to do it. She also switched from seeking joint legal and physical custody to wanting primary custody of the two little ones, ages nine and six. She clarified that Todd Tucker also travels out-of-state from work, and that they have an involved, extensive and accessible family support network.
