Fat Joe Sued By Former Hypeman Over Alleged Abuse & Fraud

The streets are talking—and now, so is Fat Joe‘s former hypeman. Terrance “T.A.” Dixon just filed a jaw-dropping lawsuit in federal court, accusing the Bronx rapper of labor exploitation, sexual misconduct, and more. After riding with Fat Joe for 16 years, Dixon is now putting it all on blast—and his claims are turning heads.

Fat Joe Is Being Sued Over What?!

According to the 157-page complaint, Dixon alleges that he was forced into “humiliating situations” while contributing heavily to Fat Joe’s career behind the scenes. From writing lyrics to hyping crowds, Dixon’s $20 million lawsuit, claims his work helped build Joe’s empire. But instead of thanks, he reportedly got threats, manipulation, and emotional distress. The suit even alleges that Dixon was coerced into more than 4,000 sexual acts and personally witnessed encounters between Fat Joe and underage girls—one as young as 15.

Meanwhile, Fat Joe’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, is calling cap and labeling the whole thing as a setup to extort the rapper.

“The lawsuit filed by Tyrone Blackburn and Terrance Dixon is a blatant act of retaliation — a desperate attempt to deflect attention from the civil suit we filed first, which exposed their coordinated scheme to extort Mr. Cartagena through lies, threats, and manufactured allegations.”

More Details Emerge

The lawsuit also drags in some big names and familiar faces. Fat Joe’s close associates Pete “Pistol Pete” Torres and Richard “Rich Player” Jospitre are named as defendants. And, Dixon alleges that the trio operated as part of a larger “criminal enterprise.” The claims go as far as invoking civil RICO charges—typically used to take down organized crime rings. And, it doesn’t stop there. Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, which currently reps Fat Joe, is also listed in the suit. Dixon accuses the company of manipulating his authorship rights, royalties, and even trying to intimidate him.

Dixon is represented by Tyrone Blackburn, the same attorney who represented Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones— a former employee who’s suing Sean “Diddy” Combs. According to the docs, Dixon’s claims are reportedly backed by recorded conversations and even a whistleblower accountant. The lawsuit details an alleged pattern of hiding income, inflating taxes, and leaving Dixon to take the fall—financially. And now, he’s ready to talk.

“This is the right way to fight Joe — through the system. You can’t fight him no other way,” Dixon tells Variety in an exclusive interview. “Joe think he’s a god. Joe thinks he’s untouchable.”

Fat Joe Already Took Dixon To Court

Back in April, Joe took legal action of his own. As previously reported, the rapper filed a lawsuit against Dixon first. In the initial suit, the rapper accused Dixon of extortion after he allegedly used social media to spread false claims—including calling Joe a pedophile—when he didn’t get the money he demanded. Fat Joe also said Dixon worked with him from 2006 until they parted ways in 2019. However, Joe claimed that not once during their working relationship was there any talk of unpaid money.

That is… until six years later, when Dixon apparently resurfaced with accusations and brought in attorney Tyrone Blackburn. And, Blackburn fired back, calling Joe’s suit “baseless.” However, Fat Joe said it’s all part of a “criminal conspiracy” to extort him. His legal team called this an attempt to spin the narrative, but the courtroom’s where it’ll all play out.
