A truck has lost its load on Fullers Road in Chatswood, resulting in a major spill that has scattered hundreds of squashed oranges and vegetables over nearly 100 metres of the road.
The incident, which has been called an ‘impromptu fruit market’, happened early on Wednesday morning.
Jack Hahn of Channel 9’s Today show said he didn’t think the produce would fetch much if they were for sale, though, as ‘they are in pretty bad shape’.
He said the spill, which also includes garlic, was on lane one heading towards the Pacific Highway.
